AMD Catalyst 13.4 (8.970.100 April 24) Legacy Driver

What should I be looking for in the image provided in your previous post. Also, my understanding of abbreviations are very limited, so it would be helpful if you can spell things out for me. (PBS)

 

Ok.Even though I installed 12.4,the ccc still shows...13.1.

 

Ahh, try ending mom.exe process tree in task manager then restart catalyst control center.

Anyone tried to instal this legacy 13.1 or 13.4 in Windows 8.1 RTM ?

 

I did (13.4). It works.

 

Seems like AMD removed legacy driver links from here, although they remain on the regular support page. Let's hope those weren't the last.

 

Legacy 13.9 WHQL was put up today. No release notes though.

I just go to www.amd.com, click on "Support & drivers", "find your drivers" and fill in the products.


I didn't expect new legacy drivers until after BF4, I hope BF4 players won't have to wait six months for necessary fixes. Since these drivers are WHQL they can't have addressed eventual problems found in BF4.

 

Thanks for providing the Link. Since you were able to find this should create a 13.9 Thread for Legacy Users.

Other Thoughts
That depends on whether those problems are driver related or bugs that applies only to game. So it's possible that the developers may be able to resolve those issues without Legacy Users needing a new driver for the game.

Sadly Windows 8 drivers still 13.1/13.4.
13.9 Legacy only for Vista and 7.
