AMD Catalyst 13.11 BETA1 (13.200.16.0 September 26)

:bang: I did another reinstall, this time with DDU to make sure I have a clean install and still the same, utilization is 40-50% 60% max and fps drops like crazy.

Dice and AMD will fix it by November when the actual game is released.

 

This is very unacceptable to have Crossfire jacked up.

This is AMD's (partnered) game - it's their time to shine - damn idiots.

I know. How dare EA/Dice not have BF4 in a perfect-state currently in its beta form, and same with AMD for not having a perfect beta driver. And the problem is obviously 100% with one or both of those parties, as your system configuration is 100% proper and nothing could be wrong with it.

I'm sure the Alpha/Closed Beta testers sure mentioned the same thing. How long do you peg that test phase to be and still nothing on a game that tout's AMD's hardware as the preferred partner?

Yes, how dare EA/Dice make a near launch game title that does not support their preferred partner's platform? How dare they ask us for our opinions? How dare they try to put a game out in open beta so people could play it and decide whether or not they wanted to pull the trigger on pre-ordering it?

How dare I not overclock my cards so it would cause issues? How dare BF3 work flawlessly on the same configuration and not on BF4?

Thanks for this... I just noticed my clocks were stuck at 500 core and 1250 memory... Went back to 13.9 and remained the same. I just found that the problem occurs only when I mess with CRU utility and change the monitor's refresh rate. When I pressed "reset-all" the problem gone.

Also, I get the black screen/hard reset some times only when I'm trying to open GPUZ. I uninstalled GPUZ and the problem gone, likewise.

 

New bf4 patch fixed performance issue for me. Smooth as butter now :banana:

 

It's certainly better that before.

But, frame dips to 45 fps now in busy scenes and singlefire is still faster. Hey, it's a lot better than those 30 fps drops Win 7, 2500k@4.4.

 

Installed this driver yesterday, booted up PC today and the GPU fan was making a lot of noise. Checked control center and the activity was at 99% without running anything. Driversweeped and installed 13.9 and had the same problem, then installed 13.10 beta 2 and that solved the problem. Rebooted and activity jumped to 99 % again, making the fan spin really loud. Just now i reinstalled 13.10 beta 2 and it's running normal again. Anyone having the same problem? Using a HD 6950, i7-2600k.

 

what did you expect game is optimized for windows 8 and 8.1.
