Somehow these drivers won't install, they insta failed without any proper message or log :|

64bit win8 pro

 

Did you try windows 95/98/XP compatibility mode?

 

I try to install these.. And the driver just fails after compatibly check. I have Windows 7 64bit and EVGA 660 Ti. 326.01 is the last driver I can install.. I think its cause it doesn't have that Nvidia Experience thing.

 

I'm getting the same Heaven crash as you. If I apply any type of oc, the app will seem to stop with a black screen, but then continue at default clocks. On one run, Heaven actually exited with no error or black screen and was back in windows as if it was closed. Decided to test out 331.40 quadros and after ten benchmark runs and a reboot in between, no issues. As far as performance, both sets are the same in the few games I tried (MLL, Bioshock Inf., FFXIV, TW2).

 

yes. I mentioned this problem on numerous sites. and it came down to directdraw no longer functions correctly on windows 8.

but microsoft wont issue a patch because its not a big problem as not alot people play dx 7 titles.


but then it could be gpu drivers seeing legacy support was removed. so in turn this could effect dx 7 titles in windows 8.

Heaven 4.0 runs ok here with this driver, I tested at my max playable OC 930/2260mhz and it didnt break a sweat (extreme tess. & 8xmsaa, normal tess. & 4xmsaa)

When OC run heaven two times in a row to tell if the OC is really stable. If it crashes in Heaven is not a stable OC. I was able to run multiple times unigine valley and when i ran heaven i got a crash in the first 10 seconds. Now after tweaking the OC setting, i can run 2 times in a a row.

 

Yeah it's a shame. Can't play X-Wing Alliance properly.

 

Freeze and crash in some game. rolling back to 327.31.

 

I have Kepler you have Fermi that may be the difference the other two users that have the same issue as me are on Kepler as well.

 

I dont have a problem with this driver, maybe its related to your boost 2.0?

 

Might be as it's working fine on the 670sli rig as well.

 

Getting weird behaviour with these drivers ranging from google chrome and windows aero crashes to whistling noises from my grahics cards

 

These drivers makes my computer lock up playing league of legends.

I'm playing Batman AC for the first time with these drivers. I have AA enabled at 32xAA in game and Nvidia control panel. And there's still jaggies everywhere. There's no difference in the ingame benchmark changing AA either.. Is AA for Batman AC broken with this set?

 

It a U3 engine game (as im sure you already know) so try messing about with inspector and AA bits, like maybe the Mass Effect ones (ME 1 &2).

So? This set still works fine with my "usual" overclock. If the step-down doesn't help it's far more likely the card itself is the problem (cleaning and re-pasting usually helps).
