Battlefield 4 in October 2013?

Still getting the loading errors, stuck on loading screen, and the servers are more or less completely empty at the moment. The server I can see with the most players in it at the moment is 10/64!!!

 

Yep servers are empty at this hour, it's fine in the evening but still with all the performance issues, loading and other bugs coupled with the fact that it is still closed beta it is no surprise.

 

Refresh couple of times, but anyway from tomorrow lot people gonna come in, then u can put ur clown mask and do nasty knifes kill( i know u like it),

It's a known issue and even guru3d forums have bf4 performance issues at the top of the most recent posts. It doesn't affect everyone, obviously, but i have no problems with other games at the moment, I have updated drivers etc. but after reading through the official forums it seems that it's a CPU issue that is running at 100% which bottlenecks everything. I would say the CPU in combination with certain chipsets is what is causing this.

I've played unoptimized beta games before, but 5fps! on a game that advertises AMD Radeon as their official partner?! It's EA all over! :bang:

 

Hd 6xxx series don't do dx11 well.

 

Is it possible to change region to get game early? Because in Australia the time is October 3, 23:25

 

Hey! I got same stuck at loading screen when I installed W8 last night

Easy fix is downloading the pb manual updater and add bf4 folder, it will find and update punkbuster and everything should work fine

Might explain such high cpu usage.

 

It's a beta.
It's only been out for a few days.
The FPS swings are widely documented on the BF4beta forums.
They will most certainly will address that.
Other wise their PC sales will tank.
Personally I'm not going to Win8 to play one game let alone a game that is in its beta phase.

 

People need to remember that the build they are playing is a alpha build, so expect it to run very differently on release.

yeah, thought so, I'm gonna stay clear of that. Amazon UK are selling w8 pro upgrade for 59.50, but it's a dvd one, I just want a key!!! can't find anywhere in the uk to buy it for that kind of money

 

I'm in the same boat man. Just watching the comments on here and was wondering if you had found somewhere to just get the key cheaper.

I have had no luck so far. Surely the drivers/BF4 will get better and be just as good as W8?

I don't want to goto W8 as I don't like the tacked on touch screen interface. Also does W8 only have the one damn colour? White? For everything? MY GOD THAT'S UGLY if it's true.

 

yeah, I don't think you will find it cheaper than what amazon are offering atm, not from a reputable source anyway. Think I'm just going to stick to w7 for now, unless I find a good key only deal. I'll post back if I find a good deal. Sorry about the OT btw.

 

If any of you BF4 kiddies ever get too lonely cuz u have nobody to play with, why not come over to a nicely populated 100 player Project Reality server and see how it's really done.

You may have to pass a medical and physical before you can actually get into a game.....but it's well worth it.
