You die really quickly... like... very.. you don't even have time to react most of the time.

Just got Windows 8 installed... now to update it and get everything functioning~

Ughh.. I hope this works better.

Yes, the weapons seem to do a lot of damage, although that will probably change. I still remember the day one BC2 carl gustav 4+ multikills.

Do the recon binoculars call in mortar strikes like in BC2? After you target someone, there is a notification next to the target that says fire, but it doesn't do anything. I wonder if the commander can utilize that or if you have to unlock something else for recon.

TTK feels very good to me. It's still much much slower than CoD Hardcore (which I'm used to).
The problem is that it doesn't perfectly match the reaction time possible, due to the relatively "laggy" controls.
Controls and TTK go hand-in-hand and, if combined with a good net code, will make the game feel natural.

On windows 7 it works with ultra 2xmass around 60-80 with dips to 40 due to beta and hitching, on windows 8 using DX11.1 it does not stutter and less FPS drops, still they need to iron them out as FPS not steady i expected much worse.

It does worth to note, that might be the first DX11.1 game that actually make a difference in performance.

Holy Crap Windows 8 makes the game completely playable...

    *edit*

Microsoft better go thank DICE I can see lots of Battlefield players who aren't on 8 getting it now because of this..

It is seriously smooth as butter for me now... Only thing I notice is my ping lag now.. hahahaha

I'm using Windows 8.1 and for the most part, this beta has played very well. Once BF4 has been released, we'll see how DICE used those optimizations that Windows 8 brings.

80-110 fps for me Ultra preset 1080p

It's using 3.8GB VRAM too, seems to borrow system ram to increase it beyond 3GB

GPU 1 usage looks a little wild. GPU 2 usage looks reallly good.

Oh ok. I forgot AMD had added that .

I'm going to load this up on my AMD rig and give it a go. Want to see how much of a difference it'll be.

lol if this will true on retail version (as in they won't make it as smooth on Win7) than I'll guess I have to go Win8 as well, for the time beeing it's playable on 7 but if there is space for improvement I'll go that way. :wanker:
