There is a huge discrepancy in that quote above the txt claims a 10 death to 100,000 people but the chart accompanying it only shows ~3.2 deaths per 100,000. One thing you said about the problem is right on the head it is a culture problem. On a side note I like how the excluded Mexico (we all know why).

Gun related deaths (text) =! Gun related homicide (graph).

Got to watch the fine print. I just wanted to hit the point even more home by leaving out suicides, etc.

A good part of the culture problem is this cowboy attitude to "home defense". Guess what; statistically, guns don't make your household any safer:

There is no correlation between having a gun in your house and having lower chance of being robbed according to that graph. And the gap has only widened since:

The cowboy mentality is not the problem and isn't it the Swiss that require each household to have and know you to use an assault rifle? You show me one instance where a normal NRA type citizen commits a crime with a gun I can show you many more that were not by our laws even allowed to own a gun. Most mass murders (school shootings, the recent navy yard shooting, the theater massacre, and many others) have a common thread they all happen in gun free areas. If there had been gun owners there carrying the stories coming from those events may have been completely different.

Yeah, there would have been a lot more casualties then with a bunch of cowboys running around in civilian clothes with guns looking for another civilian clothed guy [with guns].

In the military, I wasn't allowed to take home my gun for around the first 6-8 months. It wasn't because I wasn't able to shoot straight, know all the techniques, etc. It was because you have to first learn when it is worth it to shoot or not and learn the responsibility of what you are carrying.

Adding more bullets flying around in a crowded civilian area IS NOT the solution; all it does is cause more casualties.

Case in point, this incident that happened 12 days ago:
    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/09/15/new-york-nypd-shooting/2815851/
    http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e0e_1379237092

Here you have two trained cops identify and corner an unarmed suspect in a crowded civilian area while armed with handguns. Even then, they managed to shoot two bystanders by accident while missing the target entirely.

Name me the last mass shooting that was stopped by a random guy with a gun in the U.S.?

Name me the last mass shooting that was not in a gun free zone.

The cop shooting is a whole different ball of wax I don't want to get into that area because my opinions on that will likely get me infractions.

And you thinking that responsible gun owners being present and carrying (BTW I would argue that less "gun free zones" would reduce mass murders with firearms only responsible citizens follow those laws) these incidences may never have happened as the dumb ass may have never even attempted.

It has nothing to do with "gun culture". It has entirely to do with gang culture, something that continues to explode in "popularity" over here. No legally armed citizen is murdering another. It just doesn't happen. In fact, legally armed citizens aren't the ones being murdered.

I pay about $5500 a year for a family of 4 for our insurance, and we don't even use it. If prices get any higher than that we simply can't afford it, and food so the insurance will be cancelled.

I don't even know why I bother getting out of the damn bed sometimes. This country has been crap since the liberals took over, and soon there won't be any fixing it.

I'm sorry, but that's not fair at all.

Blaming one side of the aisle for all the problems is not going to fix anything. And to be honest, the Republican party and the statements that come out of it border on insanity.

Regardless, it will take a bi-partisan effort to completely revamp the horrible healthcare system in a Universal Healthcare that works. It will take time, there will be many people (insanely) against it because it is socialist, etc.

    So here's a little update.

After talking to the insurance agent yesterday about these new plans, I cam to the conclusion that this sh!it is messed up. Right now I'm paying $1,536.47 a month for 3 people. The reason it may seem high is because I have a low deductable/high premium plan. It's worth every penny though. Come Jan 1, 2014 this new plan will jump to about $1850 a month. But that could change every quarter. It could drop or it could go up. I won't bore you with the other stuff, but pretty much everything will be going up like copays, coinsurance, deductable, out of pocket maximum. Some other things too. The only thing Obamacare gives me is access to other doctors that I'll never use. LOL

    tl:dr

Y U NO MAKE HEALTH CARE CHEAPER?!?!?!?!?!

    Thanks fu*kers :flip:

idk know. just seems like republicans just thinking about them selves and not about people that dont have money....there decision making is going to end up making people go poor and live on the streets.

What part of, "We don't got the money to support all the freeloaders this system will create." don't people understand. The fed is printing a trillion dollars annually to keep afloat and its still running a deficit. Obama has not got a budget passed the entire he's been in office. That's not the Republicans fault even the Democrats won't vote yes on his budget proposals (he had a supper majority in the house and senate the first two years of his presidency).

He's the typical "youtuber" that thinks he has all the knowledge and must spread it in stupid videos. Maybe before starting his rant, he should have looked up the different definitions of violent crime in the U.S. statistics and U.K. statistics:

I'm sorry that you think a gun makes you magically more protected, but the statistics argue against that. Just look at the murder rate:

In addition, the gun ownership rate in the U.S. has finally started falling:

    Want some more statistics?

Burglary rate in California (a state with relatively strict Firearm laws) in 2009: 596.4 per 100,000
Burglary rate in Texas (a state with relativity few Firearm laws) in 2009: 969.2 per 100,000
That's a 62% higher rate of being burglarized in Texas than California.

Gun ownership rate in California: 21.3%
Gun ownership rate in Texas: 35.9%
That's a 60% higher gun ownership rate in Texas than California.

How safe are those guns making you feel now? The numbers don't lie.

Can you take a look at where those burglaries are happening in Texas? I got a tenner on the Mexico boarder being the hotbed of crime same goes for Cali they just have a smaller boarder than Texas. Let's just say there is a reason all your statistics exclude Mexico.

I think maybe i am not the right person to say this but

Can you get back to the topic, you know the one how the usa and its crummy medical system run amok with overcharges and over "doctoring" to the point that it is taking over the lawyer's spot as most liked people.
Truely taking the right name of "sharks" is just fitting/

Sure i know we can not have the medical industry become "dog eat dog" but we have to find a common ground for all.
