    SweetFX and Arma Armed Assault

I can't get SweetFX to work with Arma Armed Assault:( I know it works fine with Arma 2 but it looks like there is some kind of problem with the older game.

    Here's a screenshot:

And this is what the log file says:

    Code:
    full path: D:\games\arma\
    redirecting CreateDevice
    initialising shader environment
    unable to create depthStencilSurface (hr=-2005530516)

I tried running injectSMAA v1.2 alone and I got exactly the same bad results:(

I'd appreciate it very much if somebody could help me fixing this issue.

    p.s.
    My PC specs:
    AMD Opteron 146
    ATI Radeon x1650Pro AGP (512MB)
    Windows XP SP3 w/ATI Catalyst 10.2 drivers

Maybe it's just that specific server provider that is very strict and the way they setup pb will actually get me banned for using sweetfx. I've been banned twice on the same providers servers

    Keep calm.
It's not technically impossible, but it's not at all on the roadmap for now. There won't be any motion blur this year.

SteamOS is a modified Linux, Linux runs OpenGL and as the FAQ states SweetFX does not support OpenGL but hopefully will in the future.

CeeJay.dk any chance for windows 8.1 support soon? I hate starting Radeonpro everytime and everytime i have to reload it's sweetFX configuration for a game before i start it.

Perhaps a PC based video processing system would be a good solution for all the incompatibility "issues" SweetFX has. The games are rendered in whatever graphics-API they use. The output signal of the video card is then passed to the video processor, where you can use e.g. VLC player to capture and apply the original D3D9 SweetFX to the video stre@m. The additional load SweetFX puts on the GPU of your main system would also be offloaded onto the video processing system.

Only problem is finding a low latency capture card that supports 1920x1080 (or 1920x1200) at 60Hz that is also reasonably priced.

    PS: Why is s-t-r-e-a-m censored?

If someone creates a way to add custom shaders for games on Linux, then sure.
Know any genius programmers who can do that?

SweetFX would be a bit more feature-complete and VLC player offers Lanczos scaling, too. A bonus point of PtBi would be the low latency, although from what I've seen so far, the capture card used and its driver are the biggest factors in this regard. Once there's a good capture card, there'd be reason to explore the idea of a post processing system further. Unfortunately I haven't found one yet that is also acceptably priced :(
