Is it just me or something, I been noticing ever since I been using Quadro drivers, I been getting quite a bit better overall image quality on the top of the highest aa settings within nvidia inspector.

I normally use within nvidia inspector:

    32XAA(2x2SS + 8xMSAA) + 8XSGSSAA

Has anyone been experiencing better overall IQ with quadro drivers over regular geforce or modded drivers?

I been noticing the AF seems much more cleaner too as well.

I usually clamp my lod bias but now setting it to allow but I dont think it would make this huge differences.

Post reply please if anyone else experiencing better overall IQ.

Using quadro 320 drivers with modified .INF, Drivers works perfectly.

I noticed this with forced AF in driver profile. Crispier image, not much but its there.

    Kinda like SweetFX sharpening..

And sometimes clearer image on desktop, more defined desktop icons.

How can that be even possible? Are you sure you were not playing with the Digital Vibrance(http://www.nvidia.com/object/feature_dvc.html) settings?

That only saturates the colour, so no.:)

It could very well be quadro EDID thing, since its meant for professional displays. I didnt research further, but yeah taskbar icons looked clearer/crisp. Its not like 50% crisper image, just slightly..

Sigh, this goes always the same. Going through vibrance and stuff step by step, then somebody asks for actual evidence, then it's either "you can't capture this!!1" or "here's two pics" which are either screenshots or bad photographs, then people start trolling and finally just insult each other. Every. Damn. Time.

In a fixed rendering scheme, you don't have progressive adaptation of textures since there is no depth in the image. No AF or filtering is applied to a 2D OS UI.

DVC plays mainly with contrast and gamma. It can give the appearance of sharper, more defined edges.

EDID doesn't make sense to me since it's only a reference interface, there is no control scheme build into it.

When did i say AF affected desktop? Guess I should have specifically mention in games just for you ;)

Quadro does have better/different EDID support, check release notes what they say about EDID.

btw I've been using quadro drivers for a looong time (every now and then) so i dont speak something random. But lets agree not to agree. ;P

I'd rather they work and look good. I have noticed better IQ with some Quadro sets but can't prove it so...

I really wish Hilbert and gang would put this to rest once and for all. Its a very common question, surprised no one took the time to address it yet.
