The PSU is fine but try resetting your BIOS. I had very strange issues on my system that got resolved by doing so.
Ah sorry, yes its 1150 core / 3649 (7298) mem. Gets about 21500 graphics score in 3DMark Fire Strike, for reference at stock clocks @ 100% TDP was 14636 graphics score and 115% TDP was 16925. Not a bad jump in performance
Yeah I noticed the same.... almost melted it the first time I ran furmark! Custom fan curve is the way to go if you want to keep them cool.
@ bishi - Once summer hits its stride then the room temp where I am is going to be 10 C warmer so any card already running at 80 C is going to down clock itself more resulting in loss of performance. At least with a custom fan profile I have a bit of headroom to allow for the extra warm air during the summer months.
True, I forgot about that, but would you want your £550 card running at 94 C for hours during a game in the middle of a heatwave? I'm thinking home sauna here... :3eyes:
I often head over to the 3dmark benchmark system comparison webpage, sure it doesn't give you gaming performance info, but its all the same when your just looking for what may bottle with this and that component mix.
I would not bother with a thuban at 3.2ghz, I dont think you are getting all the performance out of that 680.
no he's not, no way.... anyway guys, just checked the benchmark section and there's almost no gtx 780 benches! get benching and post your results, I want to know how far past stock titan this thing can go!
*EDIT* Tested driver 314.22 w/ modified INF and experienced significant performance decrease. Artifacts randomly appearing while playing BF3 (driver 320.18). 59c under load.
Well i purchased one and had a quick go at benching before work, +150 on the core, +200 on the memory, custom fan profile using evga precision. On load reach 73 degrees, there is a noise from fan which is noticable but maybe its the quite enviroment im in. Anyways had a brief run with 3d mark 11 and score 12224, is that about right or should i see that higher?
The Palit reference gtx780 overclock very well With boost and stock voltage my card does now 1124mhz Core clock. Fan speed on 72% 72 degrees. Only 1 thing im not happy with, the temp limiter dont work for my card. I want my card clocks back by 85 degrees. Sorry for my bad enlisch, i haven't leurn it at school.
That's a great idea, thanks. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/517704 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/511026 Just for anyone else on the forums who is wondering, the two above links are a direct comparison between two systems running 780's, one with an AMD 6 core cpu (1090T) and the other with a i7 3930k. I'm seeing about a 5fps delta between the two cpu's in the graphical tests. Definitely not too bad considering the price difference of the platforms. Incidentally, the FX series cpu's (FX 6300) seem to perform WORSE than the older Phenom II x6 cpus in benchmarks.
I'm not sure if it's the drivers or the game, BF3 seems to crash without an error during a multiplayer match. Was quiet pissed, was doing so good. =/
I seriously don't get why ppl r having so many problems. I've been using 314.22 since day 780 arrived. played, Tomb Raider, AC3, Bioshock infinite, BF3, SC2 WOL/HOTS, Crysis 3 and bunch of other new games and had no problems whatsoever. even with +100/+250 OC. I managed to do some benchmarks with 320.18, but after drivers crashing in metro 2033, i just uninstalled and deleted them.
Cause 320.18 drivers for the 780 pretty much suck, everyone has problems with them i think. I'd like to try the 314.22 but it's not compatible with 780. Is there any modified .inf for tho's?
