My bad I thought you got a 7950 a while back yeah it would be a nice upgrade for you but hold off and see what the 770 does and where it's priced.
It's going to be around the same as the GTX 680, I reckon, considering it is effectively an overclocked GTX 680 with the same amount of VRAM and the same 256-bit bus.
You say, well OK, type that as if that isn't very good! That is an outstanding overclock on the GTX 680s VRAM if you ask me. I was only able to get mine stable to 6,700 MHz. I could go higher but some games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution showed texture flickering.
Well Noisiv posted a sreenie claiming 8.5Ghz on the VRAM with a 770 I can't make out the numbers too well in it but if that's true then that would make 384 or 320 bit memory busses unnecessary for this "new" card.
well if someone gets a 4 GB 770, please upload the bios somwhere. I want to test that higher bandwith and bus
its still 256bit afaik, how far can your vram go currently? I wonder if the boost 2.0 can be enabled if you can flash a 680 with a 770 bios (if thats even possible)
top card will do + 500 on the memory. Bottom will do like +470-480. so I just keep both cards at an even +400. It should be possible to flash if it's a 4 GB version. It's worth a shot at least. Worse that will happen is i'd have to flash back. Just curious to see what performance differences, if any, there will be.

Well I don't think it has anything to do with the BIOS how high the memory will go I would put money on the 770 using a different memory than what the 680 uses to guarantee that 7Ghz stock clock.
Thats probably most of the performance difference right there 7ghz vs 6 ghz. Most likely using better vram as its 7ghz stock
