Their are NO optimized drivers out for the GTX 780/770s, that's why the numbers are on par or a bit lower than the 6 series. lets wait and see i say.

oh, so it's nothing to do with the HW? a new £500 card should perform better than that, simple as that.

????????????? The 770 is an overclocked 680 the 780 is a neutered Titan, they both have optimized drivers your argument is moot. I say it looks about what should be expected.

Could probably go Ivy for cheaper though and get the same performance more or less. Right now at least Haswell is looking like improved IGP and power efficiency, which could lead to better OC head room. Overall though not worth the price of admission over SB or Ivy.

Ivy gets too hot when overclocking unless you de-lid. Haswell should be a nice CPU if Intel gets it right like they claim to have.

Okay let's get back on topic.

Those Crysis 3 scores don't look right.

GTX Titan: 33 FPS vs HD 7970 GHz: 31 FPS?

    TechPowerUp
    [IMG]

The GTX Titan is ~11 FPS more than the HD 7970 GHz.

Seeing as the GTX Titan is under performing in their Crysis 3 test I'd assume its the same case with the GTX 780...

    Indeed we'll see.

    On topic

Should we be expecting benchmarks by tonight or late tomorrow for the 780?

Honestly Titan shows more value IMO at 1600p/higher res and multi GPU setups.

You got a point maybe, but those results are a little bit weird from that website which I never heard of before.

Lets not kill one another :D and lets wait till tomorrow when Hilbert posts his review on the GTX 780/770 then judge from genuine benchies. ;)

They do seem a bit off here and there but each reviewer uses different time samples and hardware so you have to think about that as well and take all results with a grain of salt.

Although the link above is the only thing I read on 780's performance, I will retain my self from reading anything else(if anything else is even available. Didn't check).

I'm gonna wait for our ol' Hilbs words and review and then read the rest.. :D

When does the NDA end? I have been very busy this morning so I completely forgot about the GTX 780 until now but I'm surprised to see no review.

Thank you, ludicus. I'll look forward to reading the reviews and then, perhaps, buying one (or a GTX Titan) for delivery while I'm off work next week.

EVGA GTX 780 spotted in a German shop for €650.

Not bad but I expected/preferred a more reasonable price around €500-600. But if we look purely from a performance perspective it's "kinda" worth it, compared to its big bro with its €900-1000 price tag.

But again I would've found €500-600 to be much more reasonable. But even nVidia cannot pull this off this time:

Selling a 8-10% slower card for half price of the Top End card. So 35% cheaper for 8-10% less performance! Not bad. Not bad at all. :D

can also be seen like a 10% performance for double price than 7970. Very bad at all :D. Imo prices are skyrocketing without any reason and i'm not going to follow this madness.

    (based on: http://www.hardware.fr/articles/894-20/benchmark-sleeping-dogs.html)

i hope 760ti goes around 200-250€ price tag, but highly doubt it

If I cant afford a 760ti or any card in the 7xx series I just try to shoot for a 670 if the price is reasonable when I upgrade my rig in a years time.

Prices dropped. I can get it for €600. As much as I got my 690.. Hmmmm... Really tempting... Really tempting...
