LODbias/SweetFX the chit out of it, but for me - No thanks.
I prefer flicker-free image stability to image fidelity.

 

Metro Last Light - Serious, the texture details are awesome..so much detail and such..really like it..


















i like this game more then crysis 3, and i also think it looks better and makes better use of artistic atmosphere.

 

Yup, sharpening sucks.

damn that graphics. Crysis 3 can go suck it's tall grass.

 

Crysis 3 still looks amazing, and in some ways a lot better.
Metro can nail it's atmosphere, but it's human models still looks... rough.

Personally, both games look great, but I still prefer Crysis 3 in terms of visual fidelity.

Nice shots Marcel.

DooM 3 and Riddick EFBB and Splinter Cell CT (those 2 unrelated i know) will always be those games that gave me the most immersion simply due to how well the surrounding environment and audio was done, gameplay was great to but simply tip toeing through the game not knowing whats around the corner and also sooo many little hidden sections etc.

Metro Last Light

This game is amazing, yet so low budget then other big companys and yet the GFX is insane sometimes..
My own thoughts..This game runs better and ,for me, mostly looks better then Crysis 3..the lightning is amazing troughout..And the DOF, when on scene, looks great..Some Textures, like stone walls etc, are looking just like real Photographs..very nice.. Crysis 3 needed Maldo to do that, ha..

Also, very good use of dx11, Tesslation in this game is probaly one of the best so far..down in the catacomps? under teh churche, oh boy..that monster, when uit cruches teh walls, all teh stones that the wall is built of, falls stone for stone , all tesslated..Wonderfull..

anyway, talking to much, Here comes teh Screens...













Tha Walls of teh cave, thats what i meant by allmost realistic texture and lightning..

Best use of general tesselation so far. You are right with stones walls in catacombs are incredible.

I'm going back to playing Doom often. It is a very good game with a good atmosphere
