Recluse those Rage shots look stellar.

 

Those RAGE and Riddick shots...4k downsampled?

 

I could select 1920x1200 just fine but apparently that's the limit, also discovered the config file afterwards and noticed that aspect ratio had been set to 16:9 (Thus the excessive black bars and other issues with the images I posted.) but by that point I had already finished and uninstalled the demo since it's barely twenty minutes long.
(Setting a higher resolution in the config file in a attempt to override that limitation apparently crashes the game.)

EDIT: Oh and I'm unsure if you know this already but for Rage and it's fully unlocked 64-bit binary there's apparently a mode called "slo-map" which changes the render path from precomputed to dynamic but just as it's name suggests it's horribly optimized since it was never meant to be used actively.

Please, 1080p has been the standard for over 5 years now and the monitors can be had for pretty damn cheap. You are the minority. Why should we cater to you? If you weren't a computer nerd you wouldn't be on here, period. You keep holding back progression gramps. I hate change!

I have slow internet comparatively with the rest of Canada and the U.S. and on some forums, I know going into a picture thread its going to be hard on it, but do I complain about it? No, I let it take the few minutes too load. You should know going in what to expect.

i use downsampling from 3200x1800+ ingame FXAA. But this resolution i use only for screenshots.

@Jonas Beckman Grim Dawn look nice. Is GD better than Titan Quest?

 

Metro: Last Light / 4k / SweetFX

This game is one of those that it looks better in motion rather in screenshots, and it definitely needs some sharpness for the blur introduced from the ingame FXAA which you can't disable. (Images are cropped to Anamorphic aspect)

 

@Stein3X 4K with one GTX 560 Ti in Metro? Performance?

 

Hey Marcel, yes a single 560Ti lol! I don't play it in 4k ,"only" 1080p and i was surprised that it run like 12-18FPS in 4k :eek3: that's good for screenshotting ,game is pretty optimized

 

Yeah the game engine is way improved over what the developers had for Metro 2033 plus there's a number of upgrades such as better CPU utilization, efficient data streaming and advanced tessellation.

 

That just crashes the game for me.

 

in other RE games working good. This is maybe only demo problem.
