Any one interested in Daft Punk round these parts. Cant wait for their new album due out this month. Nice remix so far http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=8ibOxw7ufMM#t=16s http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/may/15/daft-punk-random-access-memories-review
Yeah its a little different to old DaftPunk stuff, more "rock drums" and funky guitar vibes to it, but its still that typical daftpunk voice and electro acid riffs.
Dont believe fame was their goal, i think its something they tried to avoid so people didnt get sick of them( i know what you mean though). In this album i think they're going against what they've done in the past, which is what everybody else has coped from them and only just doing now. Love these guys. Human afterall is a great one too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=_sZroICf0J0 To me this is the soundtrack to that LMS (Last Man Standing) Graphic novel whenever i whip it to read.
I think I could say that I'm a fan. Everything they've ever produced as a group or solo. Chomping at the bit to get the new album doesn't really say it all.
You can steam the album on itunes right now by the way. http://mashable.com/2013/05/13/daft-punk-random-access-memories-listen-video/
Edit: ^^^ eh, close euf. Anyone know of a good digital retailer for downloadable version (legal) other than iTunes.
Could try Beatport. I highly recommend Fragments of Time on the album. Make's me happy everytime I hear it.
Thanks, I'll check it it now. Edit: ooohh yeah, chillin now. I quite liked their Tron Legacy soundtrack also. !!It's twenty 21 century disco music from the 80's that sounds new!!:infinity:
Yeah absolutely love the Tron soundtrack. Personal favourite from it is Solar Sailor and Disk Wars. On this new album they managed to turn an interview with Giovanni Moroder into an amazing song.
Loool, What! Sorry for the remix barrage, but thought you might like it, if not heard already: Daft Punk - Solar Sailer (Basic Slack Remix) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwQytlZjhSI
Bah! Now you've got me rewatching videos... and I have to get ready for work / first world problem. How freaking hot would it be in a gimp suit/helmet under 50k watts of lights? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFZjqVnWBhc
