Do I need to remove the previous driver or something?

 

You need to use the modded .ini that's kindly been posted on the first page.
There's a stellar guide how to mod .infs yourself too but this time just download the already modded one and replace the one unpacked from the quadro with it.

Although the latest GeForce have had nice colors and IQ, basicaLLY THESE QUADROS ARE FAMOUS FOR THEIR SUPERIOR iq TO THE gEfORCE ONES, AND THEY CAN ALSO BE SMOOTHER TOO.

However it's not always the case, for ex. a few months back there was chitty quadros with same name as geforce drivers, those were pants.

Righto! Good to know. So I guess I just drop the .inf into the driver installed directory and run the setup.exe?

 

find the correct folder, it's named 'Display.Driver' i believe.
the .inf from the quadro will have same name as one you downloaded.

EDIT: I put it in the folder you said and it replaced a file of the same name. When I ran the installer again it worked and asked me what to install. I removed the 3D ones as I usually do and clicked continue. Now the installer has come up with graphics driver has failed to install after the bar going all the way to the right and the display going blank and a Windows 7 noise.

Will try with a different .inf?

 

Cool, and remember to configure you nvidia control panel afterwards, especially not forgetting 'adjust desktop color settings', set it to 'use nvidia settings'.

Now they broke SSAO with MSAA, HBAO + MSAA is fine :yawn:

SSAO + 2x MSAA


only SSAO no MSAA


I prefer SSAO + 2x MSAA since its way faster..

 

Try it again or try another .inf if another is posted, i've had this happen too, sometimes a restart will help.

 

I have tried a reboot then clean install with different .inf. Same result. Black screen like it's installed then message saying nope. Odd.

 

We still have some bugs for Geforce to work out so no ETA for R319 for Geforce but hoping to get them out soon.

 

Weird. Third time's a charm. Used this .inf and the driver installed. The previous two did not work for me.

If you installed NVIDIA Geforce Experience before, you may get message stating that it was not installed. Then on re-install, the driver will install correctly. Known bug that will be fixed in next driver release.

 

Interesting. I'll file a bug for this.

 

How come this is not on by default with these? Is is because of the Quadro driver itself? I'm guessing so. So for games 'Nvidia settings' is better.

PostAA + SSAO is ok too, only something with MSAA + SSAO.

Rest ingame at ultra and 16xAF in driver.
