It has been certified by Microsoft and therefore it is a WHQL driver. WHQL doesn't mean it is bug-free, it just means that it has been tested by Microsoft to run fine on Windows and that doesn't necessarily include games unfortunately.

Well if they'd manually test it with games, it would take half a year until we got WHQL drivers :)

Has anyone had issues with BF3 where the roads are yellowish in the distance and then you get large black triangles on the screen before you eventually see nothing and have to quit the game? It's driving me nuts and it started a few weeks ago. I'll have to take a picture when it happens which is normally after an hours gameplay. Unsure if it's driver related or a patch.

I have the same issues on Battlefield 3 but only after 90 minutes of playing, I tested one GTX 680 and SLI GTX 680 and keep the issues.

But only in Battlefield 3, works fine, but after 90 minutes frezzes drops.

That last Battlelog link has me in there

Anyway when I was originally talking about the micro stutter there was an issue with the then current drivers which nVidia acknowledged. It was fixed. I've now been playing for a few more hours today and there is something not right. The game does not feel smooth no more. Slightly jurky but more micro stuttering. I'm going to reinstall the last betas and see.

OK I've just uninstalled everything and reinstalled the betas. Went straight into Aftermath and I noticed it instantly. They were butter smooth. Further testing is required though.

@nVidia employees. Have the driver team been tinkering with Battlefield 3 or maybe broken something ? Could you please ask ?

*Edit: With the 314.21's installed Bioshock now runs like crap :( It did run a lot better with the new 3.14.22's. Shall wait until a new beta is released to see if that fixes BF3 first...

No issues here with 314.22 on Battlefield 3 at 2560x1440, smooth as butter.

Someone needs to change this thread's name though, they're not beta, they're WHQL.

The 3DMark11 performance with these drivers is horrible. My card went from 10328 to 9012. I realise it's only a synthetic but that is quite a chunk. :3eyes:

    edit

3DMark 13 (it should really have a phuckin' numerical value somewhere in the name) score is better though so that's good. :D

Its a bug from some MS update for IE10 and it happens in win7. Win8 is fine.

Btw i found the cause for that COD4 MW multiplayer clipping/culling issue. Nvidia driver team did something to LOD bias rigid value and anything higher then -250 causes that clipping. I kinda bet its where cod8 BO2 boost comes from.

I use to play at -500 but since r310 or r313 I can't anymore. IMO -250 is to low, i prefer at least -500 so its not so obvious when moving forward, but now I just can't anymore. I already reported detailed info at nvidia forums, hopefully they fix this in next release and not after 5-6months.

Just got a GTX 670 today. I wouldnt say it's stutters but it for sure not as smooth as it should be. Compared to my 7950 the lack of smoothness is shocking.

Is anyone having issues with these drivers? In World of Warcraft I'm getting 60 fps but it feels like 30fps, the character movement is all jerky.

Drop back down to the 314.21's and you should be ok. Myself and many others (even of different forums) are reporting the same thing.

Just need nVidia to say they will take a look at it :eyes:
