So i just installed a bigger cooler into a budget old game/internet PC with a 5800k APU. I went into bios and temps were going up into the 60's. Look what i did.

..... you win the internet, dude. haha That's both classic, and mind-boggling as to how in the hell you managed to do that.

Some updated pics with the new toy installed

Got the 680L a couple of weeks ago and have had a blast over clocking it; couldn’t hold out any longer for refresh\new cards.

This simple little rig has served me well for a long, long time... the upgrade itch is getting harder and harder to fight off...

Yea. Sometimes i almost think it'd be nice to sell off my rig and completely start over..... possibly even go with a Micro-ATX setup instead of my usual ATX with a monstrosity of a case. But.... can't imagine selling my system would be very easy. haha

I bought my Gigabyte Z77X-D3H earlier, there's come MSI Z77-GD65...
Z77-GD65 and GD-55 are same in design and colour, I prefer the GD-55.
The most important that it have 2 pci-express running at x16/x16, rather than my Z77X-D3H at x8/x8 for an almost the same price...

    nice rig there

Kodak Hero..... UGH! Worst printer i've ever owned. Not even joking. Bought the 9.1 quite a while ago, cause Best Buy had a sale on it... wound up being like a $200-250 printer for $100.... and i understand why now. Bought it cause my older Canon Pixma MP500 had something jammed in the paper feed wheels which would either cause a paper jam, or just crinkle the crap out of the one side of the paper as it was fed through. Used it for what we needed it for, and then it sat for a while. Quite a while later, needed to print stuff again, and i knew that at least one color of the color ink cartridge was quite low the last time i used it, so i bought a new cartridge the one day on the way home from work. Plugged the printer in.... and turned out BOTH carts were bone dry. Figured i'd try printing the picture anyway... but it didn't quite look right. Tried letting it clean the print heads.... but it needed the black ink to do so.... so bought that cart. Tried printing the picture again.... and it still looked funny. Printed out a test page.... and was getting NO yellow ink at all.

Decided the hell with it... unhooked the Kodak, plugged the Canon back in, and tried running a sheet of photo paper through. Kept doing that, and eventually, what ended up being a tiny ball of painters tape (no idea how it got there...), worked it's way out. Printed the picture, and it looked GREAT! Keep in mind, this was using the same ink cartridges that had been in it, and hadn't been used for i'd say maybe a year and a half.

..... no wonder Kodak decided to get out of the printer market....

Hello. I did a little update. I purchased a system for about $300, so i updated my current rig, and now have a pretty decent spare gaming rig for visitors. :)

    I picked up i7 930, 12gb ocz ddr1600, Gig x58 UD3R, 500gb HDD. i traded 6 gigs for a 280gtx to have as a spare gpu.

    Old setup:
    intel Q9550 @ 3.8ghz
    Asus Rampage Formula x48
    4GB Gskill Pii 1200mhz
    MSI 560ti 2gb
    2x WD Green 500GB RAID 0
    DangerDen 480 RAD
    Swiftech CPU Block

    Spare Rig Setup:
Specs are basically the same. Changes are 2x WD Blue 250gb RAID0, and a Coolermaster enclosed Cooler, GTX 280 not pictured.

    Main Rig Specs:
    intel i7 930 @3.8ghz
    Gigabyte X58 UD3R
    6GB OCZ 1600mhz DDR3
    MSI 560ti 2GB
    WD 300GB Raptor
    SG 500GB SATA3
    TT Toughpower 850PSU
    Corsair H100i
I really didnt have the time or money to really do what i wanted. So the Corsair enclosed cooler will have to do for now.

My newest rig... about to become a 24/7 folder, hopefully. Best thing about it is it's dead silent (Fractal Design R4 case). Just needed an excuse to put f@h in front of ppl's eyes. ;)
