Next-gen console games prices will go up to $70

Many games are sold before they appear.
And there are demos coming out after the game is launch.
And rarely the demos are not the same as the game.

Btw i got a XBOX 360.

 

Piracy is an excuse for their lack of budgeting skills and lax auditing of where the money is really going.

LOL Origin causes piracy.

I have a legit gamekey for Crysis3 but because Origin sucks ass I was getting dripfed the 15GB file @100K.
So instead of waiting 6yrs 3weeks 2days to complete, I just leeched a pirated copy and got the whole game in about 4 hrs.

Yay for digital d/l.

 

Should've capped your speed, at least your download would've lasted longer than that game.

Well since there's nothing official on this yet (just speculation/an opinion at this point), no need to really have an opinion on the matter... but... if prices do go up, quality better go along with it. Kind of tired of needing to buy DLC these days... Buy game, finish it in a few hours, then wait to get raped even more - rinse and repeat.

This makes me laugh.
Each time a console gets one up on the other, they screw it up by ripping the consumer off in another way.

All the consoles deserve failure, the cost and aggravation is a disgrace.
If you buy 10 games a year, over a 2 year period, you could have bought a pretty good PC instead and had much better quality.
And thats just over the first 2 years, a PC can be upgraded for much less than the initial cost and will only get more powerful.

After the first 2 years (where you dont need to upgrade), about £100 to £200 upgrades a year average will give you a decent gaming PC, the lower price of games will easily fund this!
So you can have more games and in better quality.
No brainer imo.

 

But what about Steam, and its equivalents for PC gaming these days.
It's no longer possible to swap games with your pals after you've completed/grown tired of them.
Once loaded, a game is tied to your PC's configuration, ruling out thoughts of even upgrading a graphics card.

 

That is entirely false.
Games are tied to your Steam account, nothing more.
