I run atiman uninstaller, then driver sweeper, then ccleaner. Have done this multiple times without any issue.
Now I do believe the driver sweeper step isn't necessary but it's in my routine so I use it all the same.

    On win 7 ultimate x64.

I run atiman, driver fusion, regedit though psexec, and I delete almost everything with ati in the name in Windows's protected folders LOL

Standard uninstallation -> Atiman -> Driver Sweeper.

Could you post a pic of CMD results using sfc?
Just open CMD with admin rights and type sfc /verifyonly.
Once completed take a screenshot of the results.

ATIman already does standard uninstallation as its first step.

Just use the official AMD uninstaller. It does work really good for me. Driver Fusion (used to be Sweeper) and other uninstallers still leave some registry uncleaned. So you have to use Cleaner or Glary. With the official uninstaller all the registries are cleaned as well. Tested 5 times and wokrked really well for me.

The new AMD uninstaller wipes chipset drivers on AMD boards.

Well off course. It says it before you begin uninstalling. It works really good for me cause I use Intel. People should read a bit before using a software :)

No, because I destroyed the original ati files that come with Windows. I know the result will be bad. Killing these files can may give you an installation error in some catalyst packages but it's not big deal. I had a different opinion in the past.

Actually it's only supposed to remove graphics drivers, not chipset drivers. This is a bug.

Have you ever tried to boot up your PC with the AHCI drivers missing?

Lol you edited your post on time. It does mention that it wipes out everything but you are right it should only wipe out gpu registry but this software works really good for me. Driver Fusion doesn't work well with AMD products as it does not clean the files completely and registries all still left. So I have to use Ccleaner again. Amd should integrate an uninstaller like Nvidia when you install a new driver

Driver uninstallation for maniacs like me:

    1) Run Catalyst install manager from "add or remove programs" /atiman uninstaller with A (automatic), then C (continue). Uac must be turned off, atiman can do this.

    2) Driver sweeper. Choose amd and delete entries. Some of them will remain in the registry.

    3) Download pstools. Make a shortcut to psexec. In "target" field should say C:\Users\yourusername\pstoolsfolderlocation\PSTools\PsExec.exe -i -d -s c:\windows\regedit.exe Now you can delete the protected registry entries. Be very careful.

    4) Go to your Windows system folder. Search for "ati" files. You are looking for atiihag results (a folder will show, the files inside it are ati-related).

    5) To delete a system-protected file, type in cmd as admin (2 commands):

    takeown /f filelocation
    cacls filelocation /G yourusername:f

    File examples:

    amdpcom32.dll

    amdpcom64.dll

    ativcaxx.cpa

    ativdkxx

    ativokxx

    ativpkxx

    ativvpxx

well Driver Fusion doesn't really work properly unless you buy the full version.

Idk I just use Driver Sweeper...never really had any trouble with it...that and manually delete the registry entries.

Driver Fusion is useful if you use psexec.

look newbies and semi-pro users the steps are:

uninstall AMD catalyst with Geek uninstaller
    use atiman : automatic mode
    use driver sweeper
    use ccleaner
use all registry cleaners you've got on your pc
    restart
    then install new driver
    restart
use registry cleaners and ccleaner once more
run cmd as admin : winsat formal -restart clean

that's the way a pro would use each driver, 0 problems.

Oh me me! I have! lol, loads of fun! Ok I think i read about 10 different ways to uninstall drivers now... Still using atiman here... It's fairly dated/old so I would imagine there are still some left over entries. I did try the new ATI one a few times since I dont have amd sata (or what-have-you) chipsets so..

Regarding sweeper/fusion, I am also getting that (some?!) error at the end of the last 6 or so installs so apparently sweeper does delete some system files. The log reports success across the board.. ?? I wrote it off as some optional component, until SFC failed... boohoo. Anyway, I have not experienced anything affected by that error (that I know about). If it reported failure, then yes, I would be concerned. In fact, the reason I tried the new ATI uninstaller was because of this, but it's still there.

Not sure if it's possible to undo what fusion did at this point so, or if even fusion is at fault and/or which version, lol. This thread leads me to believe it was (I like sweeper too much to admit this, lol) But like i said nothing seems to affected besides some unknown error. I'll have to go deeper in the catalysts logs, when I get the time. There are bigger bugs to fry with windows, lol. DEP was an absolute nightmare when it was overriding bootmgr opts for one. ;-) I had no choice but to rollback...

Never use any other software before or after Atiman Uninstaller, because do not need.
