Check out the last 10 to 15 posts, All good mods especially the STEP mod which combines many good mods together.

Takes a while to install though but worth it.

I think I'll try STEP, will save me messing about with a ton of mods. I can still add mods on top of it, right? I have the 2k textures downloaded, can I install those over STEP? Or does it come with modded textures? cheers mate.

I'm in the same boat. 90 hours during release week, then never again. I'll be playing again soon though probably after I finish Fallout 3 again.

Yeah Step includes lots of texture packs, It cripples my cards vram when using the highest setting HD mods and MSAA+SGSSAA.

I get spots where the fps plummets to 30 fps so i leave the AA off and use SMAA with sweetFX and that works ok.

Step allows you to use the same texture mods but a low medium and high version, what you choose is up to you.

All step mods here with install instructions, it does take a while to setup.
    http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.1

I also installed lots of other mods ontop of it that effect gameplay but i would be careful of textures as you may overwrite what you have already installed using Step.

Caution. I dont know wether you may use the FXAA installer but if you do be careful on how you uninstall it because when i uninstalled it took my whole skyrim game with it, luckily because the way mod organiser works all i had to do was reinstall the game and not the huge amount of mods again.

    fxaa sucks anyhow tbh.

You need to find a happy medium for your setup etc

Great mod i found, wet and cold i just added this.

Still had bad hiccups and stutters with HPET disabled, so i thought id try something else.

I disabled HyperThreading and now 80% of the issues are gone. Just a fraction of a second Pause when a new Grid is coming.

I could go to uGrids 7 but it can screw up the game later on. (atleast that's what i heard).

I really wish they would start fixing the bugs. like that weird shadow bug inside breezehome, naming of textures or distant mountain flickering.
kind of silly when the community (thank god they did) needs to fix this.

Legendary difficulty will be good as Master is easy once you get abit of power.

Anything else like level cap lifted has been done through mods for myself.

    This is a great mod.
    Alternative start.
You pick a scenario and the game places you at a random spot out of a choice of 400 locations.

You still have to make your way to Helgen to start the main quest as you hear about dragons attacking there....

Hadvar and Ralof are in the same cavern in which you usually encounter the sleeping bear event through the original intro. They are both scripted to be on the ground "in pain" and whomever you choose to give a potion to, the cavern "collapses" onto the other. Interestingly, the cavern of frost spiders still contains the spiders, but unfortunately, the drawbridge is blocked and with the keep collapsing after you exit the fireplace/storage room, the mod prevents you from accessing the jail rooms with the Dragonborn book, the other history book, weapons, etc.

If you find Master too easy download Skyrim Redone.

Yup. When fps drops below 60, I the reduction seemed like going from 60 to 30, but in reality it was still 50-55. When I disabled hyperthreading, these minor dips in fps are barely noticable anymore. Odd.

I use uGrids 7 and haven't ran into any issues (yet) and that's on a level 50 character with half the leveling speed (would be around level 100 if I didn't limit the speed of leveling up).

Not really, some bar that goes down the more you use a weapon reducing damage as it goes.

Now, if bits snapped off, say your bow string breaks or your blade snaps in half, an armour strap splits and your shoulder pad falls off, that would be good. Then you'd have to go repair it with spare parts.
