    Tried it with Batman: Arkham City (DirectX 9): works fine. Then Deus Ex: Human Revolution - The Missing Link (DirectX 9): crashes. SweetFX 1.3 works fine.

    interesting, FFXIV engine is based on a modified Deus Ex crystal tools engine, and that crashes also.

    Agni philosophy was the name of the tech demo but your right its not crystal... I think the actual engine is Luminous and I can't find the article but I would have sworn it was a modified crystal engine. Probably so heavily modified it needed a new name. It definitely appears to render lots of objects more smoothly than crystal which is important for an mmo, lol.

    yep it's the luminous a complete new engine from scratch
    sweetfx and other injector and hook worked for the alpha
    but they changes something and i only have fraps working
    i just hope it won't be like this for the release

    yea i know me too.. For some reason the alpha+beta look like they are rendering in limited RGB even though everything else is set to Full RGB. I was using sweetfx Contrast to make it look better (also cineon DPX, love that shader). Hopefully it gets fixed, or at the very least SE will add a gamma+contrast slider in the options (which should be there anyway..)

    SweetFX not working with DX10/11

    I'm having a strange problem. I have been using SweetFX for several months with no problems, but yesterday it suddenly stopped working in Assassin's Creed III. None of the SweetFX functions work, including visual changes and screenshots.

    Today, I tried playing Civilization V, which I have also been playing with SweetFX modifications, and realized that SweetFX doesn't work for it anymore, either.

    Since these are both DirectX 11 games, I tried some other games I have installed that use different DX APIs. SweetFX also doesn't work with Crysis 1 (DX10), but it does work with Torchlight II and Anna (DX9).

    Here are the logs for AC3 and Civ5 after starting each game:
    Code:
    full path: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassin's Creed 3\
    redirecting CreateDXGIFactory1
    redirecting D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain
    redirecting IDXGIFactory1->CreateSwapChain

    Code:
    full path: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\
    redirecting CreateDXGIFactory
    redirecting D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain
    redirecting D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain

    redirecting IDXGIFactory1->CreateSwapChain
    redirecting IDXGIFactory->CreateSwapChain
    redirecting IDXGIFactory1->CreateSwapChain
    redirecting IDXGIFactory->CreateSwapChain

    After I exit AC3, the log changes to this:
    Code:
    full path: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassin's Creed 3\
    redirecting CreateDXGIFactory1
    redirecting D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain
    redirecting IDXGIFactory1->CreateSwapChain
    redirecting CreateDXGIFactory
    redirecting D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain

    redirecting D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain
    redirecting D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain
    redirecting IDXGISwapChain->ResizeBuffers
    initialising shader environment
    I have done all the obvious things. All overlays are disabled (though both games worked with the Steam overlay enabled before), I did a fresh install of SweetFX, disabled anti aliasing, used a single GPU, attempt to update the DirectX runtime, etc.

    I have exhausted all of my ideas for what to do about this. I haven't made any changes to my system since the last time SweetFX worked for these games. My video card drivers are the same (314.07).

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    How do you get sweetfx working in Crysis 3? The game won't start for me.

    I'm using the Origin download version. Thanks for any help.

    Put the shader files in the crysis 3 main folder and leave the dll and injector in the Bin32 folder, that's what worked for me.

    try to use "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Crysis 3\Bin32" for shader files

    Tried that and wouldn't start RecluSe. The log says put them in the Bin32, when I do this the game starts now but sweetfx isn't enabled still

    here is the log when I've got sweetfx installed in both the bin32 and crysis 3 folders with the game running. If I try to remove or use recommended places shaders or dlls etc it won't start.

    Is it possible to stream to a site like twitch while using SweetFX? I've been trying to stream Borderlands 2 with sweetfx enabled and I can't get Open Broadcaster Software ( OBS ) to pick up my game, but when I turn off SweetFX it works as far as I can tell. Any workarounds or anything?

    I put all sweetfx files in both folders. Once the game launches, it uses the shader files and settings in the base folder, so I only modify that settings file. Not much, mind you, because the game is pretty gorgeous as is.

    This is what I did to get the game running. I've edited my post above.

    Sweetfx isn't enabled though, and scroll lock pause break etc don't work.

    Are you saying your scroll lock etc don't work and you 're just limited to other settings and have to restart after editing?

    My SweetFX works fine, though the toggle and reload keys don't seem to do anything. I have to alt-tab out and back in to see a difference.
