I did the same lol if I win the card I'll probably sell it or sell my two 670's and get a second one but I have a better chance of walking outside and getting struck by lightning than winning this.

 

I never win anything so I aint holding my breath. the titan would be used as a physics card in my system. I make bad decisions too

Putting card on water, cant do it for my 2 680s since they are voltage locked. Titan on water will be as fast or faster than a stock GTX 690

 

If you get a truly unlocked version it will probably be faster but the ASUS cards the reviewers got were all capped. They unlocked faster than Nvidia's spec but they were still locked @ 38mV over spec, I doubt that will give enough clock boost for 10-15% performance increase needed to beat the 690. You should probably wait till you see who bumps that 38mV up if anyone does at all.

 

Ok. But Titan is badly too high price despite only single GPU.

 

Well if you get a truly voltage unlocked card and watercool it you could definitely beat GTX690. Couple that with the additional ram for multimonitor gaming and lack of SLI problems it should be worth it. Not to mention that it has additional long term value as dropping another in SLI would be better than dropping a 690 in SLI or Quad 680's.

 

Nothing a bios flash wont fix. They arent hard limited to 1.2volts, just limited by AIB bios.

 

I have a similar issue, if I OC mine too much then at some point my second GPU goes down to using like 40-60% until I reboot.

Keeping the OC lower, this doesn't happen.

 

A bios flash cant fix the voltage lock on certain Asus 7970 DCU cards. Hopefully your right.

Pure speculation on my part but since its a bigger chip it may respond to cooling better then the 680 does even with "just" 1.21v max.
The power cap i hear about this card is going to have to be delt with,maybe in bios? no knows.
I got two weeks till i get mine so hopefully that guy tin
+kp and "mia" shamino will get some info up about mods.
Never know what the gigabyte guys got going on too.

Till then i'm trying not to think about it :nerd:
