Hey guys, I just bought a Dell 15R N5520 laptop, the config is this:

    i3 3110m(HD4000)
    7670m 1GB

It has switchable graphics, now I got the dell drivers which were older than a dinosaur, after installing them I tried to update with 13.1 mobility, but it just ran, it didn't update the drivers at all, ran and closed with nothing updated, said finished but nothing happened, so I got pi$$ed off and went with Leshcat's UNIFL drivers(Cat 13.1whql), which worked like a charm :)

Now I was reading up on Catalyst release notes, no where did they say they do not support my laptop, Toshiba, Sony and Panasonic were in the blacklist but not dell.

So if anyone has a dell setup with HD4000+7670m, care to highlight if they could install normal mobility or have to go leshcat way?

Any help you can give is much appreciated :)

Go the leshcat way. Use the YUC Cleaner or whatever it is, clean it, restart, then install Leshcat's 13.2 Beta 5 driver. Seems to have very nice improvements but 13.1 WHQL works as well.

I wouldn't use the YUC cleaner, don't think it is even included in the newer Leshcat packages.
The AMD cleaner worked for me but I have Intel chipset, wouldn't use if you have AMD chipset. Also ran CCleaner afterward.
Main thing with fresh Leshcat install is to get both GPUs to show up as Standard VGA Adapter in Device Manager before installing the new drivers.
DO NOT let Windows Update search and install drivers.

I have 13.2 Beta6 AMD driver working fine on top of previous newest Leshcat install. Installed it using Device Manager, update driver, have disk, (point to display driver inf)

I used driver fusion(trixxy), it worked, but I just want to know if I have to stick with Leshcat all the way(not that I am complaining), but official driver support would have been nice.

I used driver fusion, anyway as I see, your laptop is not supported by AMD mobility as its not enduro, I think mine's the enduro, so my question again is, can I use the default official catalysts? :wanker:

Do you need other details? Like motherboard model etc?

i don't think it support enduro since 7670m is based on GCN architecture. better head to leshcat site and download his unifl driver.

it will work if you install it on top of Leshcat's UnifL and newer.

I got the 13.2 Beta6 to work on the 6770m+Intel HD 3000.Maybe they will also work for you, no harm in trying.

Extract package to folder. Go to Device Manager and select to update the AMD graphics driver. Select the have disk option and point to the packages/drivers/display/W86A_INF folder you extracted to and choose either the inf file starting with a C8 or C7 depending which OS you are using.

DO NOT touch the Intel driver.

    Will try this last.

Well this comes at no surprise, should have payed a bit more and went for 630m laptops, my next GPU will be 7950 Vapor X(coming from a 580 lightning), but I'll say this AMD sucks when it comes to mobile, I just envy my friends who can directly update to nVidia 310 drivers with their GT630M
