So, i'm a bit too lazy to go through the recent pages, but I just wanna know, is Crysis 3 way more demanding than Crysis 2?

Yeah they added a lot more effects with the 3.5 game engine update and the levels are more open as well. :)

I still get really good frame-rate but it's not always 60+ this time.

thanks, guess i'll have to wait until I can purchase the game to try it out, though I'm not expecting anything more than 30+ in my case so lol

I can almost hear the stupid nanosuit voice saying, "Hey moron, you can use explosive barrels to your advantage by waiting until an enemy is in close proximity and then moving your targeting reticule over it, followed by a quick tap of the left mouse button." :puke2:

So what's the best aa to use then, I guess downsampling is out of the question with my setup. =[

You can always drop settings elsewhere if AA is a priority (which it is for me). Nothing will get you anywhere near the level of downsampling, but I'd try to see if you like the look of TXAA. I was playing @ 1080p w/ 4xTXAA in the beta for a smooth, competitive frame rate and I though it actually looked pretty decent. I think it masks aliasing the best.... but it is a bit blurry.

Hmm, guess i'll have some tweaking to do =], does the sharpening command get rid of most of the blur when using txaa?

use getgamesgo, direct2play or inkeys.com for C3. Legit key sites and cheaper than buying retail or origin.

Modded Crysis vs none Modded Crysis 3. Yep that's fair.

    Watch this

Then imagine the mods that might one day come out for it. If they are ever needed that is.

it's just post processing gone wild, C3 is king of the hill now.

Crysis 1 takes a mega ****-ton of mods to make it look like anything other than drab\dreary. And I still think Crysis 3 looks better out of the box.

Jesus, that was a good video. Vignette is a little overdone though.

Are we done with the C1 vs C3?
it it really necessary? some folks in the end will still feel C1 looks better, in the end it's about taste. lets leave c1 alone or at least outta the c3 thread for a while, i'm holding around 60fps nowadays, with everything to my taste, though i'd like to max the draw distance, currently it's only 75/100. ..Maybe after a few driver updates. :)
