I definitely noticed the Tyranny of King George in the UI. But regarding the bug fixes I haven't noticed anything yet.
Nothing about the fps drop, nice ubisoft. Guess i'll need to play this game one way or another, ahh crap...
Anyone else get very rare and random artifacting in AC3? Sometimes flags fading into the distance get a kind of pixel artifacting. And once so far I have seen a polygon stretch accross the screen from character. Not having any problems with other games like Crysis & Crysis 2 or benchmark programs like 3Dmark and Furmark.
Could be, though i still had that one instance with a polygon stretching right accross the screen from a character.
Mmm happened a second time. Both times its the Doctor who's got polgyons stretching right accross the screen until i get closer. Both times he was in the same area at the homesteads, and he does not artifact anywhere else, nor are there any artifacting in that area when he is not there. No other artifacting in the entire game or period in any other game.
Temps are normal, never go above 71c. And as mentioned, no other game like Crysis 2 on ultra + DX11 & High Res or Furmark trigger anything. Seems to be very specific conditions that trigger this bit of artifacting, why and how i do not know. Edit: Managed to get it to happen again, with the temps no higher than 65, again exact same conditions were met. The Doctor was, present, the location was the same.(by the bridge near the river at the homestead)
Well I'm happy to say it does not seem to be a hardware problem. I am able to replicate the exact same Artifacting on my Laptop with a 660m, same conditions, same settings, same drivers. So i dunno, either its something with the game, or its an issue with the drivers.
This performance increase was introduced with the R313 branch of drivers...i.e. 313.95/96 betas. I don't believe there are any further enhancements with the 314.07 WHQLs. GeForce R313 drivers also provide significant performance increases in other top games like Assassin’s Creed III, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and Far Cry 3. New in GeForce R313 Drivers •Performance Boost – Increases performance for GeForce 400/500/600 series GPUs in several PC games vs. GeForce 310.90 WHQL-certified drivers. Results will vary depending on your GPU and system configuration: GeForce GTX 690: ■Up to 65% in Crysis 3 ■Up to 24% in Assassin’s Creed III...
this game still runs like pants badly optimized its defiantly a cpu issue as its the environment level that causes the fps drops
Yep another game that's pretty much impossible to get a solid 60fps. It's definitely CPU related because even dropping down to 720p with a 670 Top doesn't help. With this and the micro stuttering Far Cry 3 Ubi have sunk to a new low imo.
Ahh, still they don't want to patch the cities fps drops....nice ubisoft... I think i have played this game about 2 hours, and i bought him from launch day.
