Some might say it's just a fan, but these guys offer a product based on pure science. And though you might not agree with the colors ... ...

Would it kill them to make them in colors that didn't look like they belong on the wood paneling of some 1960's car? I'd honestly consider buying them if they did something different.

If they painted it black and put next to few other fans you would not be able to tell what is what. Why pay double the price just for some fan ? That color theme is what makes Noctua brand something it is now. Change it and that brand would fade away and that company would die.

I don't think I'll ever buy any other type of fan.

All those color complaints are so sad.

Don't like it, don't buy it.

I own 5 of those fan from the older series as case fans. Hooked on a Scythe Kaze Master Pro running at 600 RPM, soooooooooo silent.

I shouldn't have to do that if I paid $20 for a fan though. It's just the point of the thing.

To be honest, I've never even noticed what color they are in when they're inside my case since they're, well, inside, as in the case obstructs my view on the fans.
I just don't spend my days color-coordinating my fans with my case, nor I'd spend most of my time looking at said fans.

It's just the point of the thing.

I actually kinda like the color when it's on a black interior. And their fans themselves are amazing. I've tried so many different ones, always end up swapping them back out for the Noctuas.

There are plenty of people who have actually recoloured Noctua fans themselves without an impact on air flow and acoustics. Personally I like the colour since It looks nice in the desk pc I made. :)

You do realize those bladeless fans are rather useless on heatsinks and radiators, right? =b

Please explain why I am intrigued now... Thinking about the fanless dyson blower we have at work... if they could somehow get it down to 200m sizes and lower t 120mm sizes why wouldn't they be any good? They still push air through a small space and said air would create static pressure. I see that the air when pressed against a heatsink or radiator the air would just bounce off and out the opposite side of the fan as there are no blades to actually PUSH the air but maybe a fan filter or some kind of plastic/metal frame might help. Just look at all fans now, they need an internal frame to mount the motor and blades to....

The thing is, those Dyson fans push air only from its perimeter.
From a distance, you probably won't notice it.
But try to hold your hand close to it, just like when a fan is attached to a heatsink.
Unless your hand is in front of any section of the air slits in its perimeter, there's no airflow in the middle.
Traditional fans still have more coverage in the middle despite the motor and frame.

Besides, these fans would only be good with a push config, and would probably next to useless on getting hot air out of a case.
As a general blower, however, it might work.
Then again, might as well open your case's side panel and turn on a Dyson fan next to it.
(which a friend of mine does)

Dyson's latest gizmo for hand washing/ drying runs at 430 mph !!!

Wonder wot the cfm is on these?

Have 4 Noctua's running in my system 120/140 mm and they are the best I've used so far......colour is not a factor.....

Lol...didn't know Dyson also make those.

Aside from my skepticism, if Dyson manages to make, say, 140mm fan with its air slit shaped like a circled asterisk, it might work.
The problem is where to put the electrical for generating the gust.
