ill admit, im impressed you can clock that high. all the same though, im still not impressed with the cpu on the whole. like i said, it does ok in some things and terrible in others. which you know.

my cpu does ok in some things and really well in others.

i could go higher but id need to adjust my cooling a bit.

Not sure about them, do I need to run the 13.2 BETA 5 drivers? Looking at some other scores mine seem off for CF6950s

I am on his side, not that i have something against you but considering an 1100T scores 8500+ at 4Ghz i feel disappointed of the FX series.

Still doesn't change the fact he is a poor loser.

What bench did you get 8500?

Yes I agree BD was meh but PD is an improvement. FWIW I also have a 955 @4.4Ghz and it's slower than my 8320.

Btw I should add that I was happy with my 955 but someone offered to buy my old rig, I used that money to get this one.

    Here http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/17739
It's not my benchmark, I can't run the test yet on my PC, maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
My 'problem' is that now i would pay for an 8320 slightly more than i did 2 years ago for 1100T with almost no performance increase (and serious regressions in some areas). I really expect after 2 years to get a better performing (by a moderate to large margine) product for the same money.

I think you're being a bit negative; the 8320/50 is faster than the X6 in every benchmark I've looked at. It's also twice as fast as my 955 when encoding.

I can understand why you aren't impressed with PD after looking at your link, that is quite a nice score....

If I hadn't sold my old rig I'd still have my 955 and prob woulda waited till Steamroller, (though 2014 is a long way away) I stuck with AMD partly because Intel mobo's are extremely expensive in NZ and also I can upgrade easily (Steamroller will likely use AM3+)...

No. That was jsut a test run at 4.7GHz. It passed with out BSODing on me. SO I think my CPU is good to go now. I will work in upping the memory clocks in a bit.
