I third that. No driver releases for over a month, AMD evolved games performing like ass and broken.......this is starting to piss me off.

They will probably be older. Because it takes so long to get WHQL.

If the whql thing takes so long, then how the hell amd used to release a new catalyst every month? They had like 10 days to make changes each time.

thats because they were old drivers we thought we were getting the latest but we really were getting like 3 month old ones. This way is much better imo.

Post count means nothing, yet people continue to throw it out there to describe social status...

Regardless, if you have such a problem with when AMD releases drivers, why still use AMD? Why even comment how you did at all? Sigh...

LOL @ calling me a "kid". Typical moronic retort from a person who does nothing but whine and complain for the sole purpose of causing commotion in here.

Look at your posts. Now back at mine. Now back at your join date. Now back at mine.

That means that I'm old enough to tell you that your attitude isn't welcome here, "kid".

So, either get off my lawn, or be a civil and respectful member of the forums.

And this is applicable to everyone.

They had multiple teams working simultaneously.

They would WHQL one code branch, while a 2nd team worked on a different branch. Once the WQHL came back, they would merge the code base.

Thats why there were always 3 or 4 beta branches.

Thats also why they would fix something, and it would be broken again in a later beta.

Wow. I had no clue the WHQL certification takes so long! Seems like an utter waste of time/effort to me. Guess I'll just truly be waiting for the next series of beta drivers to arrive.. :)

yes, which is why they stopped doing it, it was driving the coding team crazy with the deadlines.

Why are people here on these forums (whom as opposed to the average consumer, I would take to be power users) waiting for drivers with certification anyway? That's hardly a valuable addition to a driverset worth arguing over.

As a developer myself, that's completely understandable.
