If they change the version number "technically" it's classed as a new driver so it would have to go threw the entire process of testing. This way only part of the driver requires testing so they can release the fix quicker.

I'm actually not sure what's been fixed tbh but I'm hoping for a beta driver very soon to cure my Battlefield 3 vows...

Yes that was the intention, but my point is the fix still didn't come quick enough to warrant all of the confusion I am seeing in various forums.

There seems to be a good 311.05 beta driver, but can't find it... :(

I'm forced to use custom resolution. If use 1920 x 1080 (native) and set the refresh rate to 120Hz, it sets forces Color Depth to Medium (16-bit). When I change the Color Depth to High (32-bit) it forces the Refresh Rate to 110Hz. Never had this bug before.

You because it can be certified quickly, it doesn't mean it will be certified quickly, or was that too obvious? It usually takes 1-2 weeks, and Nvidia has no influence on the process.

310.90 is very strange. Playing well in particular scenes in BF3, sometimes playing crappy/laggy on the same map, different location. I have the feeling sometimes the frames lag behind...very weird. Happens in sp AND mp.

Another strange thing is that Media Player HC (x86/x64) can no more play 2 videofiles at the same time; computer hangs and only cold boot brings it up again. After deinstalling 310.90 and installing 310.70 everything gets bakc to normal. Happens with two older versions of MPC and the actual one. Cost me 3 days to realize that it is really the driver...

Here, there's nothing wrong with the driver with movie playback. Playing 4 simultaneous video's (2 x avi, 2 x mkv) with no playback problems in MPC-HC x64 (latest stable version 1.6.5.6366 (744df1c)).

Worst Nvidia driver since a long while.

P.S - The number of people who are having problems are large enough to cause concern so enough of "Fine for me bro :D" msgs.

I am an unstable individual. I rage. I rage HARD.

I'm still experiencing the failure to load at post issue. A restart solves it, but strange I need to do that.
