Ok, Re-Uploaded HotFix 5 to Fix Catalyst Bug. Tryout the driver in DirectX 9 games there should be a minor performance gain.

Same problem on hotfix 4 and hotfix 5. CCC doesn't load on system start and there isn't CCC in context menu. On hotfix 3 CCC works fine.

Hey, you said you are having a problem with Multiple Screen showing up when you access Windows 7 Screen Resolution. To fix this try Uninstalling and deleting your current set of ATI drivers then re-installing HotFix 3.

As for the core bug, I will upload 2 drivers HotFix 5 Beta 2 With ULPS Enabled and the Other will have ULPS Disabled. ULPS is called Ultra-Low Power State and is meant to save power by disabling your second core when not in use.

ULPS doesn't work correctly on the 4870x2 and shouldn't really be enabled. :)

It's why it's disabled by default for 4870x2 cards and enabled for 5K series.

Yes I know, I uploaded the driver with it Disabled because it was enabled by default in all of my previous release and I think it may have been one of the culprits for problems experience by Crossfire Users.

    Hi dellon132,

    1) I have a problem with your driver 12.11 (all versions to the last one beta 2 )
When windows is starting (every time) it shows that kdbsync.exe is not working. (open cl bug)
This bug wasn't in your 12.10 driver it is only in all 12.11.
    I have Ati Radeon 4670 M and Win 7 64 bit. (dell xps 16)
Can you repair it and put a solution in another hotfix ?
    2) Driver (12.11 hotfix 5 beta 2) have tested in games :
    Medal of Honor Warfighter v1.03
    Far Cry 3 v1.04
    Starcraft 2 v1.4
Everything is working ok for me in this games. I haven't seen any bugs.

Thanks for your job dellon, glad to have you :)

When you installed the new drivers did you install AMD APP SDK?

Hello. I recently (this morning) pulled my old Radeon 4890 out of the garage, blew the dust out of it, and put it into my office PC.

    Windows 8 Pro x64
    I7-950
    12 GB Ram
    Formerly Nvidia GeForce 220

Initially I downloaded the Catalyst 12.6 legacy driver from AMD, and happily found Guild Wars 2 to run at ~60 FPS instead of 25 FPS as it had with the GeForce 220. However, when I tried to playback h.264 video with MPC-HC (x64) the playback window was solid green, but I could hear the audio in the background. If I changed the DirectShow video option in the Output settings to any selection that does not support DXVA, then video playback works; however I was hoping to have DXVA working!

I just updated to Hotfix 5 Beta 2 (ULPS OFF) and found Guild Wars 2 had jumped to 85 fps , but I still receive the "green screen" in MPC-HC when attempting to playback video with DXVA enabled. Is DXVA a lost cause or am I just missing something?

    Thanks!

I will look into this, but I can not guarantee a fix unless I am able to replicate the bug.

Don't worry about it on my account, Dellon. Sadly, the system I put this video card in suffered an unrelated catastrophic failure and I will no longer be needing DXVA support for the 4890 in Win 8 x64...

I got the bright idea to update the BIOS from A13 to A16 (it's a Studio XPS 9000). It hung... at 17%... for an hour... Now it doesn't boot anymore.. So.. yeah.. New office PC is a low-profile system, so my 4890 is homeless once again.

    Thanks for your effort though.
