What you buying in the Steam Christmas Sale?

Put a couple of hours into the Witcher 2 and wow, the graphics are stunning. Sadly even my PC couldn't handle ubersampling and maintain 60fps (it literally halved my fps to 30) so I had to turn it off, but I left everything else on ultra and it looks amazing. I'm looking forward to putting some more time into it tomorrow.

 

Bought Sniper Ghost Warrior for $1.99 and 3dmark Vantage for $4.99 so far.:nerd:

 

So far I've bought Arkham City GOTY, Arkham Asylum GOTY, BL2 Season Pass ($7.50 feck yeah!), Civ 5 Gods and Kings ($3, GMG) and Darksiders Franchise pack. If I'm in a good mood I might buy fallout 3 in the steam sale though I'm not looking forward to buying another GFWL title. Maybe Civ5 GOTY upgrade pack too.

 

GFWL was modded out of that game yonks ago. Just picked up DCS A10 Warthog for £7.50 on a flash sale and 3D Mark Vantage for £3.75

 

Power went out on Xmas and only now came back on due to a snow storm.

grabbed the Galactic Civilizations pack.

9 Games over Christmas for a total of £13.02! I am the master of being cheap .

 

Is it me or is Steam upping the price on some games then applying the %xx off.
Im dead sure Far Cry 1 was only US$9.99 before the sale (Looked at it but instead went GOG route), now its saying US$14.99 and %75 off.

 

I'm positive that is the way of things each and every year. Glad I'm not the only one who spotted it.

 

I guess it's like so - Raise standard price = able to apply higher % off so it appears a good deal.

 

I remember last Christmas it seemed everything was more than 50% off, none of the selective crap, i almost bought hawx2 also but i missed the flash sale by 5 mins, by the time i was ready to purchase it at £2 i was notified the price had gone up to £7 odd or whatever so i didn't bother.

 

Yeah steam sales are cool and all, got stupid amount of games this year through it but rest of the year i prefer to get steam keys and other digital downloads through other sites like gmg etc as steam it just so much more expensive, sometimes up to $50 more for new releases.

 

Weird, on my steam page is says 9,99$ before sale, now 2,49$ (75% off).

 

Since i missed F1 on sale, is NFS Shift/Shift2 any good?
