Have you tried using SweetFX 1.3 with DSfix 1.9?

SweetFX Farcry 3 not starting

Hello i've been trying to install SweetFX into FarCry 3 again. i already did it once but now everytime i try and do it after patch 1.0.3 the game won't start from the uplay launcher it simply gives me the messege ''Thanks for playing FarCry 3 you have played 0 minutes''

Does anyone have a solution to this? i've already tried everything i have given full control to the farcry 3 folder, placing files different places (injector,dx9 files in bin and rest in the far cry 3 folder) i have also tried running in offline mode no overlay and as adminstrato.r ALSO tried reinstalling the whole game
and ofcourse i'm running in dx9 mode and nothing is interfering from nvidia inspector

Gembel's last shots look better on my monitor.

I like my monitor settings on the darker side as it just is what my eyes like and is very relaxing on my eyes.

Do my shots show up too bright for some of you ?

On my monitor, my shots show up on the cold side, which is what I prefer.

I can only get screenshots to work when SweetFX is Active, so i can´t make comparision shots.

Hi checked also checked just cause 2 and everything works fine. I have problem only with the witcher 2. In logs only one line:
full path: E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\the witcher 2\bin\
Anyone knows what could be wrong? No errors in logs I dont know what to do...

 

There are a few of us who had the same exact issue your having (and we all tried everything with no luck). Although this won't be very helpful to you it was splitting up the SweetFX files that did the trick for all of us. The only thing I can suggest (although I'm sure you have already done it 20 times) is to make absolutely sure your SweetFX files are properly installed in the -bin and -FC3 folders. I had issues with this because over the course of two days (the two days I couldn't get SweetFX to work) I had tried so many different suggestions that my directory got messed up. Last but not least, besides trying to install SweetFX have you modified any of your .dll files or install any mods? If so that might be something to look into, with that all said good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

 

Yesterday I finished FarCry³ with 50 hours playtime and now I have found my personal settings. I think the vanilla FarCry3 already looks very good. It just need some more contrast and sharpness. I've tried a lot with color, etc. But as I said is the best Vanilla.

Your shots looks good too but a bit bright, Curves might help i guess
But if you feel great then use it, i just think that overbright scene will blind you in the long run haha..

 

use Fraps but for me work good sweetFX.

Some STALKER COP. Still work in process.

I want to test more with AA because in-game one doesnt do a good job and cuts fps in half. I ll remove fraps counter next time too.

 

I haven't played that particular stalker... or any stalker in a long time for that mater.... but according to this, there are flags to force AA so... it shouldn't be a problem.

EDIT: Nevermind, ATI Still, I'm sure you can do something.

Other than teh first game, are any of the Stalker games after that any good?

 

I finally got SweetFX working with Farcry 3 using a GUI called FlightFX found lots of great presets here my only problem is i can't seem to find any presets with heavy/dark shadows so if anyone knows could you tell me which setting to tweak to get more heavy/darker shadows?

Enable LiftGammaGain. Lower the "Lift" values until you find something you like.

 

MSAA + SSAA worked for me good over ATI drivers

 

It doesnt work forced from CCC. Neither with combination with of in-game AA and Adaptive AA or SSAA. I have MLAA and FXAA enabled, they are doing a pretty good job. In game AA works but it is not very efficient and makes the game stutter at times besides cutting fps in half.
