When I installed the beta 11 over whql 12.10 the ccc doesn't work anymore.
Any ideas how to fix the ccc?

Also tried with a clean driver and install just beta11, but no ccc is installed.

I need to disbale gpu-scaling for testing downsampling.

run the beta 11 setup, custom uninstall. Remove just CCC, reboot, re-run the same beta11 setup, custom install, and install just CCC.

Usually works for me when that happens.

There's sometimes little flickering in Far Cry 3 DX 11 on water reflections at far distances (mostly mountains reflections flickers)...
    Of course - 12.11 Beta 11 & CAP 2...

I keep getting random blackouts in 2d mode, as if the monitor disconnected. any help with that?

Running it as Administrator not working for me. Only changing GPU mode to Basic from advanced.

weird, i just have a driver crash, while playing Nation Red (Steam). which is a light weight game, and i had to restart ccc manually to get the driver working again.

this is the 1st driver crash for me when using 12.11 beta 11.

Anyone else getting stuttering when watching a video on HDMI and using DVI for PC at the same time?

Windows are jumpy and stuttering, video is the same

My old 6850 could do both perfectly smooth

Also my mouse keeps doing this, I have to move it over to HDMI TV and back to DVI LCD to get the pointer back

Realtek driver resulted HDMI audio device being always "unplugged" on my HD7970. I resolved audio issues by manually updating the driver from
    "C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_12.11_Beta11\Packages\Drivers\WDM\HDMICE\W764a\AtihdW76.inf".

I'm guessing that the Catalyst installer does something wrong or installs a wrong HDMI driver.

This, because it reveals the power of CGN architecture.

    thanks for reply , but
under direct x 9 mode , i have heavy game play in far cry 3.
I did not see that with my previous 4850 .. the game was very smooth with it.
    and yes i installed cap2.

7000 series is known to have lower perfomance in DX9 than older generations. Even on mine card I have better fps in dx11 compared to dx9 at same settings in any game (DiRT Showdown, FC3, even Metro 2033).

And 4850 is more powerful than 7750, 4850 is = or > than 7770 in performance, and of course 4850 is far more powerful in dx9 games.

It depends on what your looking for when you say "best". Do you want better performance, or better stability? In either case I'd recommend just trying these drivers here and see how they run (nobody can tell you exactly what driver is the "best", unless they have the same exact hardware as you)

    Best Drivers? 12.10 or 12.11

    Hi All

Have a Quad Core APU CHiP A6-3620, with AMD Radeon 6530D Video, wondering which would be the best to do, try these drivers in WIndows 8 or stay with 12.10 and Cap1...

    Games I play

    Secondlife
    Metro 2033
    Planet Side 2
    Need for Speed World
    Flight Sim X

(Sometimes play others, but that is most common games)

Antivirus: Windows Defender in Windows 8

    Any advice is apprecitated

Imo, I don't think performance will change "that" much (may be slightly better or worse), but stability can be affected.

In any case, I might suggest just giving these drivers a try and see for yourself :) If anything, you can always just go back to your current setup of 12.10 and CAP1 if things don't work out.

    Systems hangs HD7950

I went through everything else, but it seems that (sadly) it's the video driver that is causing my system to hang. Even worse it's just "normal" usage, but I can get a system hang within about 3 hours of heavy usage (say copying 2 terabytes from one drive to another).
This was all using Windows 7, 64 bit.
I am now running Linux Mint Mate 14, and that seems to have been working fine, but I now installed the new Catalyst drivers for it.
Sadly I think the Radeon 7950 HD is something that people should avoid :(
