AMD Catalyst 12.11 (9.010.8 November 15) AMD Official BETA 11

The prob is solved using the 12.11 beta 6. Anyone having a similar problem should upgrade themselves to beta 6(now beta 7) and see if that helps. Seems like the problem was a combination of a new DVI monitor and new beta 6 driver as AMD says "AMD Catalyst 12.11 Beta6 resolves the issue with engine and memory clocks running too high when the GPU is idle. Clocks will now run at the proper level when the GPU is idle. This issue was only observed with specific displays"

 

Text is still messed up in XBMC with this (beta 7) driver!
You can run XBMC in XP compatibility mode as a workaround but you lose WASAPI features etc...

Come on AMD....

 

What a wonderful idea, so why dont you start another frivolous lawsuit.. Oh wait mine works fine and your also talking about beta drivers. If there are problems you can always rollback to a earlier driver that worked for you. Plus you talking like ati is the only one with driver problems..

Cleaned all drivers and installed 12.11 beta 7 and all works great, even warfighter (which sucks major ass)

 

WARNING!

I ran Windowsupdate (have it set on manual) after installing the Windows 8 patch Tuesday updates, and an 'updated' AMD display driver was listed. If set to automatic Windowsupdate this may actually get installed over the newer 12.11 beta 7 (since the beta isn't 'fully WHQL').

So, if you have Windows 8, its very possible your display driver will automatically be downgraded. You can simply hide this listing in WU.

 

Am I the only one having problems installing this driver?

I just installed Windows 8 Pro and am trying to install this driver. It says it installed successfully but nothing gets updated on my system. Still shows the driver as Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.20 dated 6/19/12. Catalyst control center and other ATI programs don't install.

Just to say that I've moved from 12.10whql to 12.11 beta 7 no previous beta's installed, and they are a solid set of drivers for me I would say there "KEEPERS"

No extra performance boost but a slight IQ boost in BF3 from 12.10whql.

Either my eyes are lying to me or the colours are richer for some reason.
MY BF3 profile is the following:

this is the same setup with 12.10 WHQL but I have noticed richer colours with 12.11b7

I'm not having any problems reported above. sorry to those that are.

You have previous things installed, but the most important thing... It doesn't seem to be installing the display driver or anything else for that matter except the Audio driver. Redownload and try again? :\

Luckily i got a full refund for that game, stupid of me i bought my current beast (xfx 7970 ghz) for mohw, now im stuck with a high end card i dont need.

 

Anyone got random crashes with World of Tanks? Most of the time game crashes with atiumdag.dll error when loaded into hangar. 12.10 does not crash. Every other game runs flawlessly. Just don't want to reinstall my drivers back

 

Any reason to update to this from beta6? stability wise? chrome crashing fix maybe?

Not a single crash here. Check if any plugin needs to be updated or removed.

 

They are up to date, and are essential in my usage

 

Cannot enable unofficial overclocking for my 7850 with this driver. Anyone having this problem ?

Its normal for HD 6000 users to expirience crashes, i cant play Dishonored on this drivers aswel... go back to 12.10 if you want to play.
