I'm not able to select global or profile. It just does the sound as if it's not clickable. Gonna try disabling CFX and trying it...

Edit: No go with disabling/enabling CFX. :bang:

    1. How to show fps (ingame)

    2. How to make games (BF3/Warhead) start when using Rpro? (usually stopped working error)

    3. Do you have to run it in the background for settings in it to work?

Did someone try to use Dynamic Vsync with iRacing x64?
Which settings did you use? I'm not able to get good results: without I have only a few micro-stutters but with DVC enabled I've got a lot... I'm pretty sure I did something wrong but don't know what...

    Hey John,

New game just released, Sine Mora (2D horiz. shoot-em-up) that seems to crap out when RP is running. Had a poke around RP logs and it mentioned that it the game was using triple buffering anyway, but other than that I couldn't find anything that'd cause it to crash.

The game starts up fine with the opening two or three splash screens (complete with RP chime sound), then the screen goes entirely white, RP chime again then just hangs. Alt-F4 exits out fine.

FWIW, the game has VERY limited graphics options. Normal/High/Ultra... that's it. Oh, and it's DX9 and I guess runs at native res (in my case, 1920x1080).

I've pasted the log from RP, if it helps:
    Code:

It's not a problem for me at all, the game runs fine without RP so it's not a big deal. But it may be something you'd want to know, given it's a new game :)
Usinig 12.11b6 as well, no CAPs other than the ones that come with it.

That happens when RP can't identify your video card(s). New build might fix it.

Rage3D already featured RP in an article about 2 years ago :)

It's nice to see Tom's HW comparing DVC with NVidia's native feature, although it looks like the editor made a little confusion about DVC and DFC as DVC with 40 FPS doesn't exist, he explored DFC @ 40 FPS.

Another point is that a profile for each game isn't needed if you just want to use a few things like DFC, he could set it at global scope and have it applied to every game as long the option to not hook into applications not listed is not in effect.

Hmm, do you really think such feature will be useful in practice?

1- Configure it at options. If you choose to not monitor apps not listed in your profiles list, create a profile for your game or disable that option in Settings/Advanced.

2- Remove DXGI/D3D9.dll files (other injectors) from your game directories.

    3- Yes.

Never tried it but Vsync control under x64 is a bit broken and may be the reason of stuttering.

Does it work with iRacing 32-bit?

    Should work (works for me).

Thanks for the heads up. Have you tried it without FRAPS and MSI AB running?

FYI, Blades of Time doesn't work for me if I have FRAPS running along side with RP, might be your case.

Thanks for the reply! I really hope the new build works with Win8 properly. I think I may go back to Win7 if it doesn't. So many games are just broken with issues that I am able to fix with RP. So it's a pretty big deal to me.

Yes I think so ,for example Vsync is On now in DVC when FPS=refresh ,but if I want to play a game like L.A noire(capped 30fps) or other 30fps game DVC is useless because if I turn DVC to ON I will get screen tearing because game is locked at 30fps by developers and my fps will never reach refresh rate, but if I had option to select target for Vsync I could select 30fps and Vsync will go OFF when fps drops to 29 for smoother experience.

    Hi Folks,

im complete new to radeonPro and i´d like to ask you for some help.

Does anyone have great settings or suggestions for Guild Wars 2 Settings for newbie to get a better understanding of the tool?

I´d like to play with 1920x1080 and best settings as possible + vsync. What should i switch on and which settings i should use?

Second question, what about CCC? Do i just ignore that? or is it important to do same settings at ccc?

I have other problem with the preview build.
I set some profiles previously, now I can't edit them, or even delet them with the icon.
If I clock on the program interface to edit something simply doesn't respond.
    Reinstalled it but no change.

Might be your display and dvi/hdmi/vga/displayport connection also.
would check that and try a different port.

    Bug report for you Japamd.

When you have API monitoring enabled and you are using Madvr with MPC-HC, when you go into full screen mode (Exclusive mode enabled), the video stutters and MPC-HC and Madvr crashes. Only fix was to Dsiable API Monitoring for programs not listed in the profile

On my system this game *originaly* was running crappy but with these options i just tried to explane... to you.. the game is running *smooth as butter*

Create a profile for MPC-HC and disable API monitoring for it.

Edit: MPC-HC x86 + Madvr works fine for me.

    Edit 2: post mpc-hc.exe.log

No dice I'm afraid. Hadn't tested that theory before, but tried it earlier and it didn't give me any love.

Like I said, I'm not too fussed about it but if there's extra stuff I can do so you might be able to prevent it happening in the future (or something) then I'll be happy to play around with stuff further :)

Update incoming, I'll upload the installer later tonight and will post here when it's ready.

The changes are below, bold text indicates added/changed/removed features.

The new movie capture feature works with D3D9/10/10.1/11 on 32 and 64-bit games. OpenGL implementation is still pending. Bear in mind that it's very experimental at this time and can have lots of bugs or may be inconsistent depending on hardware specs.

FXAA can now be applied to OpenGL games too. SMAA on OpenGL is still pending.

About Windows 8, just install the preview using an admin account (the installer will ask for admin rights now). The program itself can be used with a non-admin account.

As I've posted before, the other fixes/changes from previous preview are below:

    - The almighty bug that was messing with profiles is finally fixed
    - DirectX 9 OSD fonts is being rendered as expected (now looks the same across supported platforms)
    - FXAA support for OpenGL games/apps (SMAA is half-way)
    - FPS counter (the yellowish one) is back and now displays up to 9999 FPS
    - OSD code is more system memory friendly (no more constant allocations for its vertex buffers which in turn reduces some stuttering observed in a few games)
    - Better 64-bit compatibility: RP now works with FRAPS and media players like MPC-HC and VLC
    - Lots of fixes for OpenGL
    - Better hardware detection that might fix some cases where RP controls are not available (Windows 8 or custom boards like Asus Matrix, mobile chips etc.)

    Updates
    -------
    xx/xx/2012 - New build 1.1.1.0

    - New: Added support for 64-bit applications
    - New: Improved hardware detection
    - New: Improved Windows 8 compatibility
    - New: Movie capture feature with real-time Motion JPEG compression (DirectX 9/10/10.1/11) and OpenDML (AVI 2.0) support
    - New: FXAA support (DirectX 9/10/10.1/11 and OpenGL)

    - New: FXAA can be activated/deactivated during the game (configure the hotkey on RadeonPro's Settings screen)
    - New: SMAA support (DirectX 9/10/10.1/11)
    - New: SMAA can be activated/deactivated during the game (configure the hotkey on RadeonPro's Settings screen)
    - New: Dynamic Vsync Control (DVC) support. This feature controls how vertical synchronization is applied at rendering time, automatically turning it off when frame rate is below monitor's refresh rate to reduce stuttering and turning it on when framerate is above or equal to monitor's refresh rate, improving smoothness.
    - New: DVC can be activated/deactivated during the game with SHIFT+HOME key
    - New: Dynamic Framerate Control (DFC) support. This feature acts like a frame rate limiter with smoothness control, just set a frame rate target and RadeonPro will try to keep it as close as possible while maintaining frame rendering times close to each other to avoid stuttering.
    - New: DFC can be activated/deactivated during the game with SHIFT+END key
    - New: DFC feature's frame rate target is adjustable in real time, press SHIFT+INSERT to increase the limit and SHIFT+DELETE to decrease it
    - New: Lock frame rate up to monitor's refresh rate. This feature limits internal frame rendering times accordingly to refresh rate (i.e. 60 Hz = 16.67 ms) instead of waiting vertical retrace.
    - New: On-Screen Display panel, showing current status of some RadeonPro features on top of game screen. Press PAGEDOWN key to toggle between full panel/reduced panel/hidden.
    - New: OSD panel can be made visible since game start either globally or at profile level, just configure it on OSD tab
    - New: OSD panel versions can be disabled either globally or at profile level, just configure it on OSD tab
    - New: Real time GPU monitoring with On-Screen Display support. GPU monitoring displays your video cards temperatures, utilization, FAN speed and VRAM utilization
    - New: Current date/time/FPS and actual playing time can be displayed at OSD
    - New: Better keyboard handling (i.e. fixes some games that don't allow OSD control or change of FPS corner)
    - New: Improved hook handling with better Steam overlay compatibility
    - New: OverDrive controls allow basic overclocking, manual cooler fan speed and PowerTune adjustments (available only at profile level)
    - New: Added option to display new CrossfireX logo on OSD when a CrossfireX capable system is detected
    - New: Added proper support for Direct3D9Ex games (i.e. Blades of Time, Fallout New Vegas, World of Tanks etc.)
    - New: Improved OpenGL support and bug fixes
    - Fixed: Some games that used to hang at startup when API monitoring was active are now playable (i.e. STALKER Call of Pripyat)
    - Fixed: screenshots now works in DirectX 10/11 with R10G10B10A2/B8G8R8A8 formats used by some games (Dirt 3/Showdown, F3AR). Performance is not so good as in other games, but it will be optimized soon.
    - Changed: German translation update (thanks to Lennart Brüggemann)
    - Changed: improved OSD rendering performance on DirectX 10/11 games
    - Removed: SVG file creation at benchmark finish
    - Removed: CrossfireX bar; to monitor GPU utilization, use OSD options instead
    - Removed: alternate AMD Radeon logo
    - Removed: skins (all). They will be replaced by new Web skins feature. Anyone with HTML and Javascript skills will be able to create skins for RadeonPro.
    - Removed: Aggressive API detection (useless with new hook handler)
    - Known issues:
-- Vsync is a bit broken in DirectX 9 for 64-bit apps
-- DFC/DVC may not work as expected in OpenGL apps
-- Movie's audio may go out of sync when target framerate is too high compared to sustained framerate
