Probably SGSSAA along with luma sharpening.

This post confuses the crap out of me. I can't tell if you're insulting me, telling me the screenshots are a joke.... or asking me how they look good.

Anti-aliasing - 4xSGSSAA + 1940p downsampling + SMAA. I can STILL see some aliasing in my screenshots, mostly due to how the game renders those black lines. But This is about the best I can do without destroying my performance.

Sharpening is done through SweetFX. It's turned up decently high. Makes textures pop and look much more crisp.

Texture quality can be increased a bit through the WillowEngine.ini file. I've made quite a few tweaks in there.

Also, a note about that 2nd screenshot - I turned up bloom and s-curves decently high so the background was actually more faded compared to the foreground. This was done on purpose for the sake of the screenshot. I don't normally play with bloom\contrast so high, but it does look pretty nice in a few areas in the DLC.

Before I start digging too much, is there any reason that installing windows 8 would break this?

Installing Windows 8 will break your soul. Why would you ever...

Still tweaking SweetFX for Deadlight. For a 2.5D sidescroller, it can look pretty nice. I like the style.

he use downsampling for screenshots. High downsampling for shots look better than ingame image. This is normal.

Last month when i had win8 installed i could not get it to work anymore.
people claim its the folder permission, but it wasnt that for me.
    So i ended up installing win7 again/

Downsampling is for anti-aliasing, not screenshots. If it didn't look good in-game, I wouldn't use it.

There is a slight problem with the curves shader for MPC - it keeps erasing the full code every time you restart MPC. I solved it by deleting the comments describing the curves_formula

A friend of mine invited me into the firefall beta. Apparently the graphics are cell-shaded and outlined similar to Borderlands, and wanted to know how good I could make this game look.

Sadly, the game won't launch with sweetfx. The launcher instantly crashes :(

EDIT: I wouldn't be too concerned about this though. Game seems pretty awful.

    You're right.

It must be a bug in MPC. I'm guessing it has problems with the | character.
    I'll correct the MPC-Curves I uploaded.

I just checked and you're right - Amnesia is OpenGL - which I why it doesn't work with SweetFX. It will need a wrapper that works with it.

And you can't load SweetFX with Gears of War for the reason you mentioned - that is why it's incompatible.

I found a shader injector for OpenGL today:

    qeffects-gl

It doesn't use external files for shaders - the shaders are all hard-coded in the .dll , but at least it's open-source.

Warning - you could probably be banned if you used this in an anti-cheat protected game.
Valve have been known to VAC ban for modified opengl dlls in the past.

I've also been playing with this wonderful tool!

Nobody seemed to have tried it here on grand theft auto yet, so here are some before/after pictures! Hope you enjoy.

Especially in the night I think it looks awesome. Days are a little to saturated to my taste, so I changed the saturation in DPX a little bit

Anti alliassing helps a little bit, but not on everything.

This would be unfortunate. Will be interesting to see what people are able to do to get around it.

If it helps at all :

    Code:
    full path: C:\GW2\
    redirecting CreateDevice
    initialising shader environment
    redirecting CreateDevice
    initialising shader environment
    redirecting device->Reset
    initialising shader environment
    redirecting device->Reset
    initialising shader environment

Best I could do for a washed out desert look in New Vegas... SweetFX can't magically fix it unfortunately. ENB would still probably be better.

New Vegas is pretty hopeless. This is why the more talented ENB tweakers have stuck with the original Fallout 3. I've yet to see an impressive ENB configuration for New Vegas, even though that was the game Boris intended it for.

Any chance of getting a customizable motionblur filter up in here?
