    Now testing 12.9, 12.10 and 12.11!

    EDIT - 12.9 and 12.10 worked fine. 12.11 gave me artifacts in 3DMark 11.

    12.9:

i came here all happy to tell my story and now i see angry people :(
Oh well, for some reason, on my new VisionTek 7970 Ghz edition, I gained 1000 3dmark11 points =\ (on stock with 12.9 It was 93xx and now its 103xx)
So far, no flickering in DotA 2. I ran some 3dmark tests , played Dota2 like 3 hrs, didnt see any flickering \ crash \ bug (so far).
    over all I am pleased.

I've been updating every month all new official releases ( Beta & WHQL ) for almost 3 years for my AMD mobility 5650 with no problems at all
my last test was 12.10 whql witch is the best I've seen tell now in gaming and stability ( before was 12.8 the best in gaming, 12.4 was more stable ) 12.9 didn't support my 5650 so I didn't test it

until 12.11 the first time I got BSOD for the first time ( I reported to to AMD ) and it was first time in 12.11 driver recognized it as mobility 5000 series ( before in all drivers was AMD Radeon HD 6500M/5600/5700 Series)

Just retested Stalker COP on the 12.9 BETAs, runs fine, so can confirm its broken on these 12.11's.

Not just reference cards< XFX BE DD 7950 has high clocks at idle with both 12:10 & 12:11. Back to 12.9 and everything is fine.

Just a reminder for 5650m owners who wants to try this set with a clean installation :

Make sure to turn System Restore on.

Somehow this set managed to BSOD my laptop three times in a row right after the restart from driver installation, and I haven't even logged in to desktop.

    @paradis_pal
Another vote for this set BSOD-ing 5650m.

Using the AMD GHZ bios on Sapphire Ref. HD7970, that was on guru3d, this also fixed all the 100% fan crash issues on most of the newer drivers.. If you decide to flash, do it with no drivers installed, important to avoid corrupt flash..

    This was strange.

I get worse performance with these drivers, than with 12.8 WHQL, i measure in one spot on sharqi peninsula, and it was almost 10 fps less. Its the same story with the 12.9 Beta for me, about the same numbers.

    I have 7970 CFX @ 1150/1600 and a 3930k@4.7Ghz

3DMark11 physics score went up 25% for me with my A8-3500M (6620G)+6750M Dual Graphics combo, but graphics was the same. Nobody thought about GPGPU performance ;)

hahaha this driver has a massive bug with hardware acceleration on 6970 cards.
im getting artifacts galore when watching various HD videos from apple.com and youtube aswell as flash video acceleration artifacts.

defo broken video acceleration with these drivers.

guess you have not fixed all those bugs AMD/ATI. try again,... dam the previous drivers worked fine why Fk something up that was previously working...
