Work in progress :p I still can't decide on a final setting. I will have to call it one day because I feel this is going in an endless loop. Haha.

I'm very aware that I might crush some black levels but I'm trying to reproduce a sunny / light source feeling in an early sunrise.

Am I the only one who things this new Skyrim Grass mod looks ****e? Its so fat - "low poly" and way to dense.. It ruins everything also its color grading is to vibrant and unnatural.. :3eyes:

You aren't the only one. That particular grass looks off (really weird and totally unnatural actually) and colours in general look good on my IPS screen so usually when I see saturated screenshots, well, they just look oversaturate and unnatural to me. I prefer the stock Skyrim colour scheme and people have their own preferences.

I agree, I prefer the original Skyrim colour palette or one that's been tweaked a little rather than a radical overhaul. On a side note I finally got an ENB mod to work by using an injector version with the wrapper which allows software like D3DOverrider to run in the background. Very pleased.

I decided to start playing Skyrim again since I couldn't get into it back in May. Mainly because like I've said before that every RPG game seems daunting because of the sheer size of the game world. And then I complete the main quest at level 14. I even googled the end fight to make sure that I had completed the main quest. Quite shocked really.

Now I'm not sure if I should start again and do all of the side missions along the way or just continue with enjoying the game by doing the side missions.

And those Fallout3 shots look good. Makes we want to play that one too.

So tell me do I have to saturate or desaturate my fallout ? Too much of a color? Your IPS screen shall give the truth! :D

tweaked the engine.ini so the smallest allowed texture resolution is 256x256 instead of a mix of 1x1 and 64x64.

also RO2 doesn't support Anti-Aliasing forcing it through the driver breaks the ingame menus by making the text disappear. and no FXAA/MLAA isn't real AA ex: you could have a artist paint a baseball orange, but that doesn't make it a tangerine.

The grass is part of Vurt's summer edition flora overhaul, it's not "low poly" either as it uses the same mesh size as the standard vurt mesh from the normal flora overhaul.

No other meshes are changed for the summer edition as far as I am aware, and the main tundra grass mesh I use comes from lush grass and is in fact much more dense/higher poly count than the standard mesh.

As for the texture size, the summer edition has the same texture size as vurt's standard high resolution overhaul and twice the size of the stock textures.

As for stock colour, I personally find it extremely dull and would never go back to it. I did in fact do a comparison between stock and enb colours not long ago. The images are both using climates of tamriel but that difference can be overlooked here.

    Slightly more vibrant (ENB)

I really don't think a monitor could make the stock colours look any better, but then what do I know. I am also using a vibrant preset in those images so it's meant to be more colourful than the usual ENB presets. I tend to change around a lot as I feel change is good, and at this point I am quite enjoying the the current colour scheme. :)

In the end it comes down to personal opinion, of course, and I prefer to look at change in a positive way because even if you don't like how something else looks maybe others do.

it may have something to do with lush grass , enlarging it? the grass looks extremely blurry aswell which doesnt help either. it looks more paintbrushed then a photo.
but like you said its a matter of personal opinion.
