I received access to the planet Side 2 beta earlier, so far seems pretty good, though perhaps a little confusing due to the large size of maps and as the servers are quite busy.

did they carry over elements from the first like... requiring teamwork to quickly get A.N.T. 's from intercontinental travel zones to fill them with energy and then get them to a recently captured base to refill its energy?

in the first this was a critical thing to do in order to prevent a counter attack from being successful.

I haven't played Planetside since December 2003 so I have no idea if the game mechanics have changed since then.

I was just showing off a flaw with that picture, the DoF can be done a lot better in pCARS free camera mod, that's all and I'm sure Leviathan knows about it. Wanny on the other hand wanted to get a reaction out of me and then go cry to the mods like a child. I sure wasn't going to bite

Its weird, something like Project Cars might be able to turn on all the bells and whistles, yet Gran Turismo (5?) on PS3 still looks better and more lifelike.

Also, in trying to be a smart arse my attempt to reply with a .gif has lead me to the conclusion that .gifs don't work on this site anymore, or am I just doing it wrong?

 

While GT5 looks pretty good, it still lags behind pCARS. it's very jaggy, some of the textures are very low res too. anyway, here's pCARS. And Wanny, no hard feelings mate, I do have respect for you most of the time

 

project cars is much crisper thanks to higher resolution textures. I'd assume or guess it likely has or will have better physics as well in final release. So shadows and close up detail will look better in Project.

Polyphany spent major time and money on modeling their cars, tracks and timings plus there are 1000 or more and over 200 premium cars, so that says something in comparison but i dunno how many cars SMStudio's plans to have and who knows when/if it will ever be completed.
Meanwhile, GT5 is out now, tons of DLC's, populated MP servers, Nascar racing, kart racing, museum, rally..etc. Again not sure the total features planned for Project but both Forza and GT5 pretty much beat most racer's on PC in terms of cars, features..etc.
