Normally I would say yes,but it depends on the game I think.

    You might want to try...

A): Forcing DX11 AA with no flags (Try various AA combinations to see if it works)

    Or

B): Change the value in the "Antialiasing-Behavior Flags" field to "None" and try forcing AA again. I found that with games like Syndicate (2012) they added a behavior flag value for it in recent drivers which caused forcing MSAA not to work.

    Try
"0x20000000" (Flag for other SAGE Engine Games)

Tell us if it works so it can be added to the first post.

    Any AA flag for Dishonored?

There's a lot of aliasing in that game and the SMAA injector isn't helping much.

The Mass Effect 2/3 flag seems to work well with MSAA+TrSSAA. It also seems to run quite fast, even at 8x, though the UI seems to not always be antialiased.

The Mass Effect 3 SGSSAA flag works even better and is able to antialias the UI and glowing items, the performance hit is understandably larger but worth it even at 4x.

FXAA/SMAA might help with that(Injected) because it processes the whole screen. Normally it would cause artifacts with UI elements. But if the game has Aliased UI elements akin to Crysis with the Flash_UI_AA turned off. Injected SMAA/FXAA may benefit it.

Though, 8xMSAA+4xTrSSAA is probably better option. Better performance and smaller memory usage except it's better for polygon edges and the same for vegetation. Doesn't do anything for shader aliasing but it's not actually a problem in this game in my opinion.

I've only messed with SLI bits before, not AA flags in the injector...exactly which settings should I change?

DISHONORED AA BITS FOR SGSSAA AND MORE....

    Here we go:

    AA Bits:

    0x000010C1
    0x004040C1 (the one i use atm) ( 4 x 4 SGSSAA + SFX)

Might wanna give the Negative LOD a little more boost..like 0.875 or more..0.750 still seems a little to blurry..but still way better then without AA..

    Screens:

    Direct compare:
    Mouse OVER = SGSSAA

    NO AA: (ingame)

    SGSSAA 4x4:

SGSSAA 4x4 + sweetFX Cineon testing... a little too bright atm, but ill get there :)

^^ thanks for the inspector shot and screens. I'm using your recommended settings so if you tweak it further, plz post any update(s) :)

Hi! Maybe sombody here can help me. I use nvidia 3d tv and now the antialiasing bits of the inspector dont work even like the ambient occlusion bits. For Example ME3: If i turn off 3d it works fine, but no aa+ao if switch to 3d vision. Anybody a clue? (Sorry for my english) lg

At 4x SGSSAA, your LOD Bias should be -1.00. It will give the cleanest result.

Also, this AA code gives me roughly 10% more performance, for the same visual quality.
    0x080100c5

Currently running 8x SGSSAA, and it looks daaandy.

I was about to write that 4x SGSSAA is an overkill for this game dang...

    For me it's 2xMSAA + 2xSGSSAA
LOD bias = -0.5 , or LOD bias = -0.7 with FXAA, and I'm set to go :)

I also tried combining it with 2560x1440 downsampling, as well as 4x SGSSAA, but really did not see the point, as there is not much pixel crawling to begin with.

    Using 0x000000C1 flag.

Well, this game uses a fair amount of transparent textures for hard surface objects like grates and various panels strewn around random places, and I've found anything lower than 4x shows incredibly pixelation on those areas that really annoys me.

    My current settings:

    With forced 4x SGSSAA/MSAA:

    With just in-game MLAA:

    @yosef019 :
0x004040C1 for the best visual result for me on my GTX680 on Dishonored with forced 4x SGSSAA/MSAA

SGSSAA seems like overkill for Dishonored.

If it was me, i'd just use 8XQ MSAA +4XTrSSAA +FXAA/SMAA(May not even need the last part there)

    ALSO:
Just an FYI to everyone, from now on with UE3 games I would highly recommend you just avoid this flag
"0x000100C5 (Gears of War, The Last Remnant(Benchmark), Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, Medal of Honor: Airborne, Stranglehold, Unreal Tournament III, The Last Remnant)"

It's one of those flags with the Framerate cap. If your FPS drops below the cap specified(Usually 30 or 60), the AA will deactivate. Which is incredibly annoying.

There's no overkill in AA if you can manage to reach consistent playable FPS, FXAA/MLAA is just... bad. It's like the retarded son of real AA.
