Anyone notice sluggish performance in certain areas even on rigs perfectly capable of maxing this game out? I dont think this is multithreaded, I dont see the option in advanced settings nor do I see my CPU usage go above 15%........
You should stay close to the door here, be wary of nades thrown however. You need the 357 but the crossbow is the best, one shot one kill. After the initial wave there is another, as well as sniper cover from the roof. I dont take too much damage here, but my ammo gets nailed, and you want the crossbow for the dam section, so save a few. I save the health/suit power by the complex main doors (you cant get through them yet) until iv'e beaten the soliders.

The mod is using a very old version of source without the multithreading support. Also, just wait till you get to the battle at the lamba teleporter. It's literally unplayable.
You're just lucky then. Plenty are complaining about the abysmal performance; even people who are running 2500K's and such.
Completed it last weekend. Didnt have any issues, it crashed only twice during the gameplay. Really enjoyed it!
Haven't had any performance issues other than some mild hitching, though I'm only at the end of 'On a Rail' so far. I've really enjoyed it so far, especially the little changes that catch me off guard (like where the crowbar is & the Magnum having Iron Sights) not to mention the pretty insane level of detail across the board.
Not had any crashes yet. It slowed down a little a couple of times, checked CPU use and one core was maxing out. Over 99% of the time its smooth.
The second helicopter on hard difficulty is absurd. Seriously. The amount of ammo you need to expend is laughable.
