Any solutions to the multi-gpu problem? With one 6970 everything works fine after following the steps correctly, but when I have two 6970s the core and shader clocks are stuck at 0. Something else I need to change?

I’ve unlocked the Core Voltage settings and changed it from 1.112V to 1.143V and now my MSI 7970 is stable at the max AMD OverDrive settings, 1125MHz for thr GPU and 1575MHz for the RAM. I thought that the MSI Afterburner would let me go higher but the Core and Memory clocks are stuck at zero.

Extract PRE 12.2 drivers with 7-zip, then find atipdlxx.dl_ and extract it once again.

Then paste that file into Afterburner folder. If it still doesn't work add -xcl to the AB shortcut or .exe file then disable unofficial overclocking in .cfg file, and reboot.

The 12.3's don't have the file you need. AMD removed it starting with 12.2

getting bsod after enabling unnofficial overclocking on reboot
putting it back to 0 restores functionality.

Would like to get it to work since otherwise I get flickering on 2nd monitor when overclocking.

    2x5850s in CF
does ati not test stuff..? ( I don't mean the bsods, I mean flickering if ocing with multiple monitors even with catalyst)

Hey, I'm unable to disable powerplay. AB 2.2.2 and cat 12.6whql. I set unofficial...to 2 and put the eula. However it used to work in older AB's. But those are expired now. Any idea how to get these to work.

switch to afterburner 2.1.0 and do the same steps...check enable voltage overclock, and also force constant voltage so it works. I'm just happy there is still a version that does this, but I do miss the 2.2.0 Beta 10 that was the fastest version I've ever used.

Is nVidia 500 series and above still limited to 1000mhz OC with this option?

Will it be unlocked in the future?

When I enable unofficial OC in the latest MSI AB it disables all the sliders completely

The first posting is clearly saying that it is unlocking CCC limits on AMD cards only. 1000MHz limit introduced in 300.xx series drivers for NVIDIA 500 series is not and will not be removed.

Might I ask for a simple explanation?

I'm asking because I'm seeing random information flying around the Internet...

Ask NVIDIA, the limit is implemennted inside the drivers.

I have Dell Inspiron 5720 laptop with 28nm GF117 based Nvidia Geforce 630M videocard. I can overclock it to 887MHz, but it's a limit of overclocking in Afterburner.

So how I can unlock limit to overclock further?

    MSI Hawk 7870 2Gb
    hello,
very nice threads and posts i learned alot, thank you
however i am having a problem increasing the volts on core or Ram of my HAWK 7870,
my problem is not the afterburner not allowing me to change the values i can, but it's not applied when i check with kombustor or GPU-Z, it's still the defaults core 1219, no matter what i did, it's been a month of intensive research on this and still can't find a solution,
i was able to OC to 1200\1400 or 1450 or 1350 stable, but if i OC the gpu to 1210 it will crash, so i think it's lack of voltage,
    1. i tried the official AB OC, it allowed more clocks on gpu and ram, but voltage still locked
    2. the unofficial method- same
    3. tried on switching the LN2 bios switch and tried the above no luck
    4. changed the PCI-E power control to never go to energy saving through windows
5.all drivers are up to date, MB GPU also catalyst and AB at latest (official not beta)
my setup is as below, please tell me what can i do to unlock the voltage it's killing me

    Windows 7 ultimate 64Bit
    i5 3570K
    MSI H77MA-G43
    MSI HAwk 7870
    Corsair vengence 8Gb 1600
    Zalman CPU cooler
    SSD Kingston hyperx 120 boot
    WD 1TB 7200 RPM
    Cooler master Pro 700 W
    Cooler master HAF 912 advance, + CM 200m silent fan + CM 140m X2
very very good ventilated max CPU temp on turbo boost 28c~32c, system temp 25c~30c

i knew its a voltage lack that is making the crash when exceeding the 1200 on core as the temp never goes above 60~65 on full load, and still crash

please let me know what can i do, again thank you for this nice thread as i said i learned alot
