    Oh I mean I get the "gimnick" but as was just said;

In the end you will just end up with the nose being in perfect condition.

Oh and I had a quick look at the Nissan site it was a Rogue not a Juke Either way it looks tough and commanding(For a Nissan)

Haha as I said, I wouldn't use one. In the case of his Fit though it really doesn't look that bad. I like the look of the Fit, I would get a sport with a manual trans if I could afford one, but sadly they're one of the priciest cars in that range.

Clear bras do a much, much better job. Plus they generally cover more area. I had a clear bra on my VW, and it did a lot of good.

I've never even seen a clear one ever. Didn't think they existed.

Imo 50% odds he wears a used rolex/citizen/breitling.

To each his own, so it doesn't matter if he does, or what he drives.

However, the fact remains, this "formula" is incredibly overdone.
Almost to the point of comedy.

When I had a BMW [and I hate that I was weak enough of character to even think this], I was somewhat embarrassed to be seen in a car that created a form of association between me and 'that crowd' (The D-bag-[often]Wog types, which somehow flock to BMW's like wasps to sugar.).

Similarly, post-ghetto new-money flocks to the C-series like crazy.

To reiterate, I have no problem with any of this.
    I just find subcultures amusing.

    That's why i bought a pretty rare car. :D
And maybe because of the fact it performs well, too.

Thought it was about time to resurrect this thread :)

halfway through my epic welding adventure at the moment.

this is the section that joins the rear floor to the quarter panel; there's not much left.

original part vs. new one bent up out of sheet metal
    [IMG].[IMG]

    all welded in
    [IMG]

replaced both lower corners and rear valance too
    [IMG]

got some new bling rims for my baby. Fender flares most definitely required
    [IMG]

next mission, rebuilding the sills on both sides, then floors and frame rails

Been at it for two years, but the race is now on to get it all done as they're closing down the Ford Southampton plant (you might have seen it on the news!) so I'll be out of a job in 6 months. I'll have to move house so the car needs to be finished, the engine build is in progress now as well. No pressure, lol

I had the man flu last week, evil thing, was in bed for days. Still coughing up bits of lung even now, hope you're feeling better soon bud.

Not leaving the UK so no haha

Probably move along the coast a bit, want to live in the country a bit more though, I hate cities!

Almost forgot, I've been rebuilding a set of triple Weber DCOE 40s that will go on the new engine, I only wish I could remember where all the bits went.

Hot damn, that car must've been in pretty bad shape when you bought it!

This is the reason I haven't been around much recently... it's amazing what body filler can hide, whoever put it on was a bondo master; the whole lefthand quarter panel was only tacked on then filled over the top :wanker:

When I'm done with it around 25% of the car will be new metal that had to be welded in, still, at least I learnt how to weld even if it was out of necessity rather than wanting to!

So I take it you wouldn't have bought the car/started the project if you knew how bad it was? I understand that is pretty normal for projects like these, haha.
