@ Wanny - I can see a big difference in the sharpness of those screenshots as the bottom one has not only got clearer graphics but the text, Estus Flask, is a lot less blurry too. The top image looks horrible in fact, like I'm looking at the bottom screenshot with cataracts!!!
Why quote an 8 day old post like that one during a happy time like this?. The game is out, there is a res fix already and all is well in the world - heck if HL3 gets announced today we'll have world peace (for a few hours at least ).
because I just read through the last couple of pages and I liked what he said nicely summed up. Anyway, do we have a link to this resolution fix? might just buy it on steam tomorrow.
http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?p=92 There is still an issue with text on the ground, but the person is gonna look into that tomorrow.
the res fix is simply amazing!!here is a SLI flag what im using with AFR.0x00400005 works perfectly at least to me but i hope it will does to you boys.happy gaming!
Anyone with a GTX670 noticing any hitching? Go to the first bonfire and slowly move the camera around. Mine stutters every couple of seconds. [EDIT] Nevermind, it's gone with the new d3d9.dll resolution fix. It's just the ****ty game. Can't wait until he fixes the message text. Looks quite playable.
For any of you on AMD/ATI GPUs and the FPS dips here and there, disable powerplay. On my end, there wasn't enough load on the GPU for it to clock up, thus the lag.
I don't have any stuttering here. I'm actually playing @ 2560x1600 downscaled to 1920x1200. Didn't see a fps drop so far. I forced performance to maximum and AF to 16x.
Works pretty well here too, using the in game resolution of 1920x1080 at windowed mode and that fix at 2560x1440 (16:9 apparently) which does work as a form of downsampling this way. http://s19.postimage.org/8ta07pbc3/DATA_2012_08_24_04_17_38_84.png http://s19.postimage.org/vw0j6vctf/DATA_2012_08_24_04_17_48_64.png http://s19.postimage.org/4mtr64143/DATA_2012_08_24_04_17_57_21.png http://s19.postimage.org/faxi4yb37/DATA_2012_08_24_04_18_09_98.png http://s19.postimage.org/a0sjdnqub/DATA_2012_08_24_04_18_36_34.png http://s19.postimage.org/9cjoups4j/DATA_2012_08_24_04_18_58_51.png http://s19.postimage.org/9ql0ubc83/DATA_2012_08_24_04_19_40_34.png http://s19.postimage.org/5iq8lkasj/DATA_2012_08_24_04_19_58_01.png http://s19.postimage.org/l5hhyxokj/DATA_2012_08_24_04_20_11_68.png http://s19.postimage.org/xy5lyv06b/DATA_2012_08_24_04_20_20_31.png http://s19.postimage.org/dfaptsm8z/DATA_2012_08_24_04_20_24_31.png http://s19.postimage.org/yq89y24df/DATA_2012_08_24_04_20_35_21.png http://s19.postimage.org/5p8j2e9b7/DATA_2012_08_24_04_20_48_58.png http://s19.postimage.org/6g1986boj/DATA_2012_08_24_04_22_36_98.png http://s19.postimage.org/owvnyzrmr/DATA_2012_08_24_04_23_09_81.png http://s19.postimage.org/hi6c6m5r7/DATA_2012_08_24_04_23_15_44.png http://s19.postimage.org/vd4mp306b/DATA_2012_08_24_04_25_34_34.png http://s19.postimage.org/9f85val5v/DATA_2012_08_24_04_26_12_94.png http://s19.postimage.org/s8tysajdv/DATA_2012_08_24_04_26_43_71.png http://s19.postimage.org/egfjwnsmb/DATA_2012_08_24_04_26_54_98.png http://s19.postimage.org/47n2qu4kj/DATA_2012_08_24_04_27_56_01.png http://s19.postimage.org/z349hzc0z/DATA_2012_08_24_04_28_14_94.png http://s19.postimage.org/4n2xxlfvn/DATA_2012_08_24_04_28_36_28.png http://s19.postimage.org/e8widw71f/DATA_2012_08_24_04_29_17_64.png http://s19.postimage.org/hh0zqxtb7/DATA_2012_08_24_04_29_25_54.png http://s19.postimage.org/7xraxh5sz/DATA_2012_08_24_04_29_35_94.png http://s19.postimage.org/kdo0r7z4z/DATA_2012_08_24_04_30_38_14.png http://s19.postimage.org/rux86foo3/DATA_2012_08_24_04_31_04_48.png http://s19.postimage.org/u0rj0xs4j/DATA_2012_08_24_04_31_15_11.png http://s19.postimage.org/lwjew75pf/DATA_2012_08_24_04_31_54_91.png http://s19.postimage.org/47ro4ktyb/DATA_2012_08_24_04_31_57_64.png http://s19.postimage.org/scsdmae8z/DATA_2012_08_24_04_32_07_88.png http://s19.postimage.org/5bgudnkwz/DATA_2012_08_24_04_32_15_58.png http://s19.postimage.org/csq1svag3/DATA_2012_08_24_04_33_22_24.png http://s19.postimage.org/ss8pcf6hv/DATA_2012_08_24_04_34_58_05.png http://s19.postimage.org/grn9boz37/DATA_2012_08_24_04_35_22_18.png http://s19.postimage.org/nw52kq6cj/DATA_2012_08_24_04_36_03_74.png http://s19.postimage.org/f2e63mjdv/DATA_2012_08_24_04_36_09_34.png http://s19.postimage.org/ylirczi5f/DATA_2012_08_24_04_36_32_31.png http://s19.postimage.org/6zfzsaysj/DATA_2012_08_24_04_36_51_88.png http://s19.postimage.org/khmw4laxv/DATA_2012_08_24_04_36_57_14.png http://s19.postimage.org/ypckt8nmr/DATA_2012_08_24_04_37_19_28.png http://s19.postimage.org/5blfreaar/DATA_2012_08_24_04_37_35_98.png http://s19.postimage.org/5cvdktc4j/DATA_2012_08_24_04_38_00_21.png http://s19.postimage.org/n46zz9rj7/DATA_2012_08_24_04_39_14_98.png http://s19.postimage.org/7jzm8qher/DATA_2012_08_24_04_39_23_84.png http://s19.postimage.org/mh839qun7/DATA_2012_08_24_04_39_36_71.png http://s19.postimage.org/x5bu8l4mb/DATA_2012_08_24_04_40_07_38.png
I'm still hoping the frame rate can be fixed, although using a controller will help mask that a bit. Not that I want to use a controller either, but I hear it has pretty wonky mouse support. At least the resolution appears to be fixed for now.
Manged to take out a black knight via dodging and slowly draining his health, nice sword but too cumbersome to wield efficiently currently, found another type of knight a while later whom proceeded to kill me near instantly, guess it won't work to take those out by doing the same thing there, ha ha. Otherwise it's really useful to explore as you can find some interesting items although several are pretty well guarded but you could always run, grab the items and then run past it all.
WOO hoooooo http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=488240 <- Dark Souls's PC version's 1024x768 Locked Internal Render resolution FIXed Modders OWN -- Someone ough to write to to the devs regarding this, so that they can probably use this technique to put this up in the next game patch they send..
so its the internal render resolution not screen, a graphic setting that is not commonly seen(Serious Sam 3/HD, Silent Hill 3 PC has this option tho, and not to mention, console emulators )
Actually I have seen it in Dota 2 too..but you have a slider to control internal rendering resolution and the UI supports the selected display resolutions (ie..UI at 1920x1080 and game render@50%_of_1920x1080 renderscale)
how do you force higher resolution and then downsample? Will play this when i get in from work so I'd like to know
