I use a small fan.I run it all night, year round...
I've heard some people use an alarm clock that has the sounds on it...waterfall, rain, ocean, etc.
Do you use anything to help you Sleep?...:sleep2:

Nope, I need total silence and darkness to sleep. The slightest bit of light will make me unable to sleep.

Theres a choice of watery effects and loudness depending how the pump is set to squirt water out.

Yep I need light noise like fan to fall a sleep. Some times I have to leave the TV on for more background noise.

This. That and coldness helps. Prefer temps to be 18 or below.

Yep, me too. They say the ideal temp is 21 degrees or something like that, can't really remember. I need much colder than that though, a nice breeze blowing in makes it even better :)

My server whirring away in the corner, I prefer to sleep with it off, but I can sleep with it on as well.

Ear tinnitus does it for me.

Not heard silence in a good 8 years, which is irritating because I know what it's like.

A vacuum cleaner helps me sleep it also has the same effect on my children. It`s hard to explain but if i`m feeling unwell, switching on the vacuum cleaner helps me relax and drift off.

When my PC had it's huge dual water cooling set up with 6 120mm "loud as hell" fans, I loved the sound when I was trying to sleep. I can't stand complete silence. My mnd just races and I can't seem to get into sleep mode.
In the summer I have an ancient AC in my window that humms away at a god awfull volume that makes sleep so much better. The winter I usually pass out watching tv and the noise from the furnace usually does enough to distract me so I can sleep.

Ya I use a big box fan to drown out neighbors nosie. "White noise" works great for Me. Also use the radio. Classical stuff mostly, puts me right out and i cant hear bs in background.
However if Im out in the woods or other quiet place then I love the silence.

I only have the whole deafness/tinnitus on one side, so if I ever need to turn over to sleep (because sleeping on one side is messing with my back) i've got some foam ear plugs.

Burly Glaswegian accent telling me to sleep doesn't sound relaxing to me :s

Marconi Union is good though, sounds like Helios (I sleep to this fairly often).
