If you like X series then most probably you'll like this too.
Has a bit of a steep learning curve for the economics and whatnots, but once you get used to it that won't matter.
Supports most flightsticks if you can take the time to assign the controls yourself.
    Also, land exploration on planets.

    Thanks for that^

I love the X series, so I guess this is worth a fiver.

I'm still not finished with my X3TC game after nearly 500 hours. So damn much time to build all your factories for the hub mission, and all that jazz. I just hope the new game is going to kick ass.

    Seriously?
I thought AP was R/TC's prequel?

Now, if only someone would continue Nexus 2's development. =/

Games are hardcore though, no autosave last I remember, and if you're not careful you can easily warp into a planet or something distant and just explode.

Sure, but this is more just an extreme irritant, any minor thing in front of you and you will just blow up, no warning (which is retarded because a space ship should check this stuff before you go)

I'll soon find out, besides it didn't cost much. There's not been a lot this sale I've wanted really, I had to get 'something'.

Torchlight is fun for a time killer, it doesn't really end till like level 250 or so when the equations get out of whack.

I'm having a hell of a time resisting the dawn of war franchise purchase :( I want to hold onto my cash for endless space. What do you guys think?

Which Dawn of War games are you talking about? If you are talking about the entire franchise (RTS + TPS), then hold cash. If you haven't bought those games odds are you aren't a huge fan of the WH40K franchise and those genres, and if you are not, they are just ok games. Buying ok games cause of sale is pretty bad move when there are so many great games on the market with so little time to enjoy them all.

Apparently has some great mods and the online battles can be very impressive.

I am way under what I thought I would spend on this sale.

    DLC'S For SR3
    Fear 2
    Fear 3
    Driver San Francisco
    C&C Red Alert 3

Is Payday The Heist a fun time......I mean, should be worth $5 just for the 4 man co op.....right?

Trying to catch a few decent deals here at the end :)

I'm a massive fan of the entire franchise, although I prefered DoW 1 + expansions. DoW2 is not a TPS, that's absolutely wrong. It's closer to an RPG/Strategy hybrid. It never comes close to being a 'shooter' if that is what was even meant by the post I'm commenting on. As a massive fan of RTS games I rate DoW 1 above many of the more popular games such as Starcraft.

The story in DoW 2 is interested up until Retribution. Retribution however, offers the best playtime for online. The campaigns are copypaste between races, but at least you get to choose race that time around. A fantastic game none the less imo.

The huge quantity of DLC is the turn off, I'd be weary of that. Almost all of it is comsetic and not worth buying, the Tau Commander is worth a buy if it's cheap enough. I love the Last Stand mode, far more than the regular multi. But I'd buy the entire pack in a heartbeat if I didn't already own everything.

Sorry, didn't mean DoW2. Had a brain fart and included Space Marine to the DoW franchise cause of same studio making it.
