For me it was 125MPH in a rental Lexus IS300. Not like we can verify this, I'll just take your word for it.
I've gone about 148 in my old S2000. About 150mph in my crx don't really know speedo stops at 125 but hit the rev limit in 5th at 8400rpm. And have gone 135mph in my current car an IS350. I like to go fast.
215 km/h (134mph) in my Dad's Ford Fairmont...was running late for work. I have a Subaru Legacy that will do about 230km/h but I drive it like an old lady lol
Skoda Octavia VRS 148mph on the Queens business. Regularly do 100 to 110mph in standard cars on the rural roads and motorways. Great fun.
1st car: 1985 Honda Integra 2.0L 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC - manual hatch - over 200Km/h easy. That was a fast little bastard - WOOOOO. 2nd car: 1994 Mitsubishi Galant 2.0L 4-cylinder 16-valve - auto sedan - 180Km/h, had a cutout that one - BOOOO. Then I wrote it off lol. 3rd car: 1994 Holden Commodore Acclaim 3.8L - VS 6-cylinder 16-valve - auto sedan - 200Km/h. Current car: Nissan Maxima 3.0L - SL 6-cylinder 24-valve - auto sedan - 190Km/h. All fuel injected designs.
Not the fastest I've gone, but I've had one of my employer's buses at 80mph. Any truck drivers here who have beaten that?
It's amusing that you were able to get it that high though. My 1998 Dodge Caravan has hit 115 without mods. I didn't push it any further because well, state troopers here are brutal. Mine was smooth sailing though at that speed, probably because it's not a box like the 89 was.
Indeed they are. Mine has a turbo waiting for it in the future. For now I'm pretty happy with the slightly over six second 0-60 I've gotten out of it. With a few minor mods, of course
Garret T2 @ 14psi, intercooled, 2.2 SOHC from a Shelby Daytona of the same era (forged internals), A555 5 speed trans, walbro 255lph pump, loads more. Had just gotten into 5th when I did that run and my ass couldn't really clench anymore so I let off.
60 kph on Daihatsu Xenia (I was learning to drive lol) I was driving my uncle's car, he sat right next to me, and when I hit that speed with the 3rd gear I can tell he was very nervous I want to go faster but he said to slow down..
140mph in my old 74 Charger with a low rise Edelbrock manifold and a 650 Holley.Didn't like it much as air gets under the long nose and it started lane skipping.
