Yes, that does make sense, I've thought the same for a long time! Its also advantageous for the game developers in that when the new consoles come out, they could simply 'port' the old games over to the new console with the HD textures, and they could re-release the games for say, $15 - they'd make more money! Imagine how well a Call of Duty Anthology series would sell - combing all the Call of Duties into one game, with new graphics on a new engine, and you play it in chronological order, so a mix of Call of Duty 2, 5 for a start, then black ops, 4, etc. They could literally sell that as a new game at a new game price on the new consoles, and I could guarantee it would sell really well! They could even extend the single player aspects of each to better tie the games together, not to mention the multiplayer aspect. I just used that as an example as its the best one... I'm very much looking forward to playing Crysis 2 with the new Maldo pack when its released
I WISH to play Crysis & Crysis Warhead with Maldo's textures... I regret playing Crysis 2 & hated it compared with the originals...
Well I don't think so and you do so go figure. It's one of my favourite games so... Crysis 1 just gave you the ILLUSION of freedom. I found it a bit boring to be fair. Spent most of my time staring at the ocean...
In Crysis 1, on every beach level I found myself jumping in to the water and trying to reach the lowest depth possible before hitting up with level barrier death. And it seemed very satisfying. Crysis 2, nope..no beach...its like COD. While Crysis 1 felt a bit like Operation Flash point.
99.2% Great work Maldo! Spoiler It's perfect circle! And ofcourse great quality of textures there!
What can I say, just speechless. Its very hard to play other games after trying MaldoHD mod in Crysis2.
Yeah, i don't think any game even comes close to the MaLDoHD mod texture wise, i haven't spent much time with Skyrim though, but nothing i've saw suggests it does, especially when it also benefits from a "prettier" setting. Just a pity more games/engines (looking at your BF3/FB2.0) aren't mod friendly, as it's the main thing that keeps me a PC gamer these days, and also influences how much your willing to pay for an older game. Great work as always, i'm surprised Crytek haven't been in contact with you MaLDo.
