yup i'm with ya just installed these today , tested a bunch of games , everything works great still , can't notice any difference compared to the june 12 version though

The thing is though, theres probably more chinese school girls playing QQ dancer than there is playing any of the other games with problems combined.

This version a no go for me. Sniper Elite V2 clash after 10-15 mins on Asus 7970 CUII Top. Revert back to 12.4.

Not sure I am alone but I encounter screen flicker on my Samsung S27A950D @120Hz during IE beowsing with video embedded..

 

Well... this driver doesn't seem all that great for an overclocked 7970 CF setup.

I'm getting random grey screens of death when the cards are idle (web browsing), and The Witcher 2 still doesn't work at all with crossfire enabled and randomly freezes up/crashes.

But the benchmark scores for unigine/3dmark11 increased slightly... so that's good I guess.

 

Why does this still show as Cat 12.3? Weird..

overclocking for me hasn't changed with these driver , and yeah ccc works for me also

 

It means you haven't properly cleaned your system after uninstalling a previous set.

CCC simply uses whatever the value that's being set in the registry.
If the installer doesn't set/change the value, like this driver set, then CCC will either display whatever it finds in the registry, or display nothing at all (as in no Catalyst version number, not a blank monitor =b).

 

Overclocking hasn't changed in games, but I'm getting grey screens of death every hour or two when I'm just web browsing or word processing if I have my cards overclocked.

I'm nerdraging big time that they still haven't fixed 7970 crossfire in The Witcher 2... I'm gonna submit about 1000 bug reports on this and maybe they'll get in gear to fix it.

uh oh. looks like they broke more stuff.

catalyst 9.00 won't even install properly on my laptop. gives a fading black screen.

I have this problem too, and it seems it has something to do with shadow resolution. If you set your shadow resolution to 1024, the UI works without a problem.

This isn't nice, though, as I used to run 4096 shadows before. Hopefully we'll get a fix.

e. Submitted a report to AMD of the issue.

 

I tried that and it does fix it, though shadows look bad (I think that setting is for cards like the 6670!). It also works at 2048 for me, but shadows still look poor.

I submitted a report earlier too.

edit:

Weirdly enough INCREASING it to 8192 also fixes the bug, but I expect this will kill performance in certain situations...
