AMD Catalyst 12.7 BETA (8.981.2 June 12)

GE reviews saying these 12.7's are giving a decent boost in performance to the 79s.

 

any singlie 6850 user tried that? Any problems?

 

So the question is, is these drivers good enough for whql?

 

No one knows when the next WHQL's are going to be, could be months away yet.

 

I think there will be no WHQL, instead there will be some kind of a FINAL version 12.7 maybe.

Yes. There are some fixes for single-GPU users as well

 

nah I'm uninstalling it now. It's the 3rd display screen crash I've had just doing medial tasks in windows or browsing. Never happened with 12.6 beta

Great stuff from ATI/AMD now crossfire and BF3 are working great....finally...no cap.:banana:

 

ive tried them and im getting random crashes again...oh well back to 12.4`s

 

got support mobility driver???

 

I tried flashing a normal 7970 with the 7970GE firmware and got BSOD 0x07Es with this driver (and any other driver.) Only way to get past the Windows boot logo was with a generic display driver.

 

I'll be trying this in the near future

I got no problems with this set actually just the litle bug of 3D clocks dont get down on one card after restart, i have to run a 3D ap. to get it down. I also notice that my cards are running hotter like 5-7 degrees C along with the Fps :rock:. They are working better on general at least on my 6850s config. :bigsmile:
